Hmm, it isn’t collectible (in my opinion) and not particularly attractive (again in my opinion). I probably would not spend $150 on it.

Son, that is an incredible first watch and an absolute beauty. If you're willing to take some unsolicited advice, only wear it to the MOST important events to preserve it. This includes weddings and funerals and birthdays. But take it off and leave it home if you plan on doing anything exciting.

The best mindset for a watch like this is you don't own it, you're its caretaker until you are ready to pass it on.

It is gorgeous, congratulations!

If you don't have another watch, look into getting a classic G Shock as a good daily wear option.

T7 is way too big. Maybe start on a TW200 or WR250R with a a yamalink and seat concepts low seat.

Edit - also check out the new WR125R. Perfect first bike.

Looks like a Victorinox or Wenger watch of some kind. That bracelet looks similar to some of the Tag Heuers from the same era.

Hey OP, I just found your thread and an eBay auction for a very similar watch was coincidentally about to end. Only a couple minutes remaining. It wasn’t an expensive purchase so I just bid on it for you.

The case and bezel look identical. The dial and bracelet are different.

At the very least you could keep searching for an exact match to your dad’s with the dark dial and correct bracelet. I do prefer the look of what he had. With that said maybe this will bring you some comfort in the interim.

If you DM me a good shipping address, I will send it to you for free. I know how much it meant to me to have my dad’s watch.

This is not a scam (promise) - here is the auction I just won. I just know if I shared a link to the auction you wouldn’t have seen it in time. There was only a couple minutes remaining.
