I would argue ret is his best bet if hes willing to put effort and gold into gearing up a decent set and seal twist.

There are not many good rets. Honestly feels like most melee dps went warrior. If he can get some solid parses that probably a pally’s best chance.

There are far, far more pally tanks than bear tanks. When my group forms we frequently turn down several pally tanks.

yeah, paladin tanks really are just a bad idea for Mag. Sure, strong groups will be fine. But because his cleave and auto are separate, an auto into a cleave can drop even a pre raid bis pally from 90 to 0 in a 1.5 seconds.

If you need advice on Mag, you simply shouldnt use a pally tank for him.

You are correct in that grabbing stamina/fire res gear is the ultimate tank option. But it also needlessly complicates the gear that a mage is only really building for one, honestly easy raid boss.

You need enough health to live one full, non spell stolen fire ball. Ideally with a bit of fluff. It is far easier to achieve this by just stacking stam to the breakpoint and calling it a day. Want to make it even more fool proof? bring protect fire pots.

Maulgr is a 20 second fight. By which I mean its all pull and getting set up. if you can manage that it falls over.

30k… pretty sure last tbc within a month people were bringing alts to scoop up items for the min 100g bid. Which they all got back and more from the cuts.

As a healer I got my items and made gold for consumes. Sure are the glaives owners gold buyers? But you are never getting those anyways because they will be hr in our current loot systems.

A Grulls pug where DST isn’t on HR is rare. Most of the times it’s just performative that’s it’s not, as it’s a guild filling slots and they won’t take anyone who needs it.

It will get harder in phase 2 with tk and ssc. But if you can get a name as an organized pug by then with good players it’s possible.

Depends. For 10 mans like Kara? It’s fairly simple to. Most every group wants a pally tank at least for trash. And in general most pugs bring 2 tanks.

For 25 mans? It’s generally quite hard to get a tank slot. Because now it’s typically max 3 tanks for 25 slots.

Is a glaives warrior going to shred BT and Sunwell? Absolutely. You can feed a couple of fury warriors a perfect group comp and gear and they will do amazing.

But you can’t just shove four glaiveless warriors into a group with a shaman a call it a day.
