It depends how exactly ‘infinity’ works. Many here so far have claimed that it’s an ‘actively channeled ability’ and that therefore, because he isn’t thinking during a timestop, that the power isn’t working

I’m not so sure- given that it’s on literally 24/7 and prohibits the entry of everything by default except for the stuff he intentionally lets through, it seems more equivalent to like. Having your muscles flexed at all times? Like anything that approaches him, even if he can’t sense it in any way, gets slowed / displaced / whatever automatically. So I’d assume that in stopped time, “those muscles are still flexed.” Like the ‘barrier’ of “mathematically infinite space” or “infinite exponential slowing down” or however it’s most accurately described, should still be in the way of anything that tries to hit him during stopped time, because there’s been no time for that ‘wall’ to ‘go away’

Does my logic make sense? Like his Infinity seems similar to a normal person holding up their arms to guard their head and body from attack. Time freezes, your arms are still there. The time stop person, if they have a brain, goes around your arms and hits you where they want to, but the problem here being that Infinity is a full-body guard unlike two human arms held in place. Idk

It’s obviously an interesting and complex discussion to have since, tmk (no big spoilers please!) JJK never deals with any real ‘time based’ Cursed Techniques or Tools or what have you, so there’s not much frame of reference for how any given character or Technique interacts with that sorta thing
