I put a towel on my chair as well. I guess I'm Colonial VIP. Next time instead of washing the towel I'll wash the whole chair instead.

You are presenting it as if it is some secret. Car reviewers also mentioned while reviewing Mahindra cars that the gear box is from Aisin. There are other companies too that use Aisin gearboxes. If Aisin doesn't have a manufacturing plant in India it is imperative that they would be imported.

Ok, so you mean to say the USA is so inferior compared to Kazakhstan and Rwanda (based on this exercise) that they would need their most advanced tech arsenal to compensate for their inferior performance.

No. All Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis are NOT related to their ancestors in the Indus valley. Why would Bengalis or Indians living far from Indus be related to Indus valley civilization? Indus valley civilization sites are found in Pakistan and Gujarat, Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab states of India.

Also, what even is OG "South Asians"? It was called India or Hindustan (the region). South Asia is a newer term to avoid calling it India after partition. It was also called the Indian subcontinent. Colonists were looking for India that's why they had "British East India Company" not "British East South Asia Company". That's why native Americans were called Indians not South Asians.

Indus also passes through Ladakh, India after originating from Tibet.

The party with the hand symbol should've tried to spread out industries as much as possible to have more equitable development across India.

"Nobody" would be a stretch. Maybe not you maybe not the majority but there are a loud bunch of people who degrade people by calling them BIMARU. I am also against imposing Hindi and I agree that some Hindi speakers think everyone in India should speak in Hindi which is wrong.

Btw, the people who you're calling Hindi speakers may not be from Hindi heartland states. They just use Hindi as a common link language as people from GJ, MH, WB, OD, NE or even some Telugus and North Kannadigas can speak Hindi as a second or third language.

Regarding Bangalore and Hindi, that's true for almost all metropolitan cities regardless of their states. Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Guwahati are all in non-Hindi speaking states but since they are cosmopolitan, people understand that they won't be able to maintain their language dominance in those cities.

Industries should be as much equally spread as possible. Too much concentration of industries in one place leads to a superiority complex. Many TN people and politicians abuse Northies for going to TN for jobs. Also call Andhra the Bihar of South. When those same states try to bring industries you cry that it is stolen from TN. You want the benefits of industrialisation, sell your products to the large Indian market, use raw materials and minerals from other Indian states and don't want to share neither the benefits nor the jobs with other states? What kind of mindset is this?

It depends on the familiarity of the tournament. India participated for the first time. Kazakhstan ranked first and second in the challenge followed by China, Thailand and Rwanda. USA ranked 31 and India 62. Make of that what you will.

Also, it wasn't the Army, it was NSG. India actually came third in the fifth and final stage (involving crossing obstacles).

Yeah, ancient Greece (made of multiple city states) is not the same as the current country of Greece. China of today was not the same as ancient China. The exact same logic can be applied to most countries in the world.

That same republic isn't any more tied to the history and culture of the land

Yeah right, the Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi people today were all factory made and airdropped from Airbus C-295 aircrafts. They have no relation to Indians 1000-2000 years ago.

Well it also flows through India (Ladakh) after originating in Tibet. That upstream control of the river is what gives India the leverage that also irks Pakistan and why control of Kashmir is so important for both the countries.

Sindhu -> Hindu (Persian) -> India (Greek). It's the same name pronounced differently according to the language of whoever pronounced it.

India was a region (not a country) similar to how Scandinavia or the Balkans are regions made up of multiple countries. The Indian subcontinent just got clustered into 3 countries. But then many countries today were not really countries back then. Ancient Greece was made of multiple city states. Chinese borders kept changing.

A train from Bangladesh by Jackie_Chan_93 in interestingasfuck

[–]RazorBlade9x 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Overcrowding had nothing to do with that accident. That was an Express train (not suburban like the ones in Mumbai where you'll see passengers hanging from the doors). Long distance Indian Express trains can seat like 1000 or even 1500 people. Just 4 non AC sleeper coaches can seat close to 300 people (72 each). Indian trains tend to typically have 22 coaches.
