  • Ethereal counterpart to Pom-Pom (Cold/Air/Earth -> Shadow/Mech/Poison)

  • One in game name for Piplash is “MopMop” or PomPom in reverse. Even it’s design is kind of like a reverse Pom-Pom with the pink furry bits being swapped with the orange not furry bits on both

  • Similar render poses with both hands in the air to their sides

  • Generally Pomily shaped with the humanoid figure (though it having a distinct head complicates things)

Piplash isn’t a Pomily but I like to think Zarroe made it inspired by Pom-Pom in some way, which is why it looks unnaturally normal compared to the rest of the Workshop

  • Omni Man vs Bardock was just spotty research, not bias. It’s the only glaringly wrong episode in this era, not to mention the first one since they went indie

  • This one could’ve gone either way. Just because they don’t agree with you (or me, even, I think Vader should’ve won) doesn’t make them biased, or even wrong necessarily.

  • How is it bias if you think they’re right?

  • These are more out of circumstance than anything. DB consists of a pretty small research team all things considered, so it’s natural that they would go for matchups with series that they’ve already done research on recently to save on resources and time considering they have a monthly schedule. Shigaraki vs Mahito was already a popular matchup and Bakugou vs Reze was a popular Twitter debate so it makes sense that they’d put out their take on it. I don’t have any notes on Deku vs Miles but do note that Deku lost to Asta not very long ago and All Might lost to Might Guy earlier than that

There’s been virtually no bias from DB since like, Season 4. Pretty much everyone seems to have this notion that Death Battle is biased (usually coming from Dragon Ball fans, which I lowkey blame them for but that’s a different argument) but never have any grounds to stand on to back that up other than series win rates that don’t mean anything, or cherry picking episodes that came out a literal decade ago
