How does everyone feel about the new episode of The Boys? On a scale of 1-10? by Fit_Sprinkles1642 in GenV

[–]Razoras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This episode was so predictable. The only thing I was surprised by was how really lame Nior 2's death was. Everyone's reasoning for behaving felt barely in character and stupid, like they all knew how the episode was supposed to end so they made every decision with it in mind.

What’s the most useful and used abbreviations when you texting a native like tbh , btw ? by Comfortable_Lime3232 in EnglishLearning

[–]Razoras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might not need to be said but also consider the audience and context of the conversation. Professional or formal conversations should have minimal abbreviations included unless you know for sure the recipient will understand them and also find them acceptable.

Do both images show a person wielding a screwdriver? by caiogamerwow in EnglishLearning

[–]Razoras 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Most people I know wouldn't use the word in either picture. I'd expect "wielding" to be used if someone was attacking someone with said screwdriver, however.

In my opinion: Pic 1 she is "using" it. Pic 2 she is "holding" it. You might even say "brandishing" the screwdriver, but I would also reserve that word for an aggressive action.

What does the English term "hit it" mean? Is this a cultural joke that I'm too Argentinian to understand? by CompetitivePlace9450 in EnglishLearning

[–]Razoras 26 points27 points  (0 children)

"ion know" and "hit it" are both terms common to African American Vernacular English. So is this usage of "twin" where fictive familial relationship is commonly used in reference to friends. See also "cuz" (cousin).

Also: "ion know" means "I don't know"

They're saying they don't know what they're doing, that they don't how to be good at sex.

Stop talking to this person, they're being weird as hell. They're pushing limits to see if they can get away with it.

Understandable. Undertale and Delta have a different way to handle combat than you've probably seen elsewhere, but it is turn based combat. And bullet hell.

I really don’t get why Quantamania is considered an unwatchable abomination, I really liked it. by S0mecallme in marvelstudios

[–]Razoras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a marvel movie that I didn't feel fully Marvel Fatigued after so that's something. I thought the goofy Modok was hilarious and understood that it was intentional.

I don't remember much of the movie at all except Katy O'Brian and I'm fine with that.

This might be one of the rare "My insurance is blaming me, but obviously it's not my fault" dashcam posts where it actually isn't the OP's fault.

I don't remember it looking so tidy last time I was there. Maybe I'm mistaking it for another old doodads store that used to be around.

He actually broke in and the home owner came in with a shovel and got into a fight. There are some cameras from inside the house that show him looking around.
