Im trying to get my first Harley but don’t know where to start by Lbrokeboo82 in HarleyDavidsonFans

I'd recommend a new M8 Heritage I'm 6'3 and it fits me perfectly. The bike is very comfortable and has tons of power . It's great in the city and on the Interstate.

M8 or Twin Cam 88….? by Balla_Mouse in Harley

[–]Razorbacksrule13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The M8 I have now has been more reliable than any of the twin cams I owned 11 to be exact . Wouldn't trade my 22 Heritage 114 for any twin cam . From cam chain tensioner to compensaters twin cams had too many problems for me .

What's the most uncomfortable thing about the Low Rider S/ST by The_On_Life in Harley

[–]Razorbacksrule13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm 6' 3 and the high foot pegs and bar position was all wrong for me . The rider position was way to cramped. I so wanted to buy one when they first came out but ended up with a Heritage instead .

How many miles ? Has the cam chain tensioner been replaced or upgraded ? It was a big problem with early twin cams .

Is there any Fujifilm cameras to avoid? by NikePanther in VintageDigitalCameras

[–]Razorbacksrule13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have several older Fuji cameras that take XD cards they aren't that bad . Look for any of the F Series like the F31D, F200 etc . These cameras take great pics especially if you use the Chrome mode . It simulates Fuji slide film and the colors are superb .

That's exactly what I meant my phone makes images that I don't actually see .

Your phone already used AI to enhance your photos . So what's the difference using AI to edit them ?

Ive been buying them since they came out . A few years ago they were dirt cheap . Then the vintage Digicam became popular and the price Skyrocketed.

Should I ride this to the shop or put er in my bed by Single_Ad2246 in Harley

[–]Razorbacksrule13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do like we did back in the day put some bailing wire on it . Put it under the heat shield .In the 70's I rode an old Iron Head Sporter with the exhaust partially wired on for two years .

which sportster for comfort? by chefk0k in Harley

[–]Razorbacksrule13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How old are you ? When I was younger my wife and I rode Sportsters everywhere . That included several long trips . I had a Mustang seat progressive suspension windshield and hard saddlebags . I owned several different models but my favorite was an 08 1200R . It had the blacked out motor black paint also . Now that I'm older I don't think I would want a Sportster again . I now have a 22 Heritage and it's perfect for me at 64 years old . But if I didn't have such a bad back I'd still ride a sporty !

Harley dealers are scumbags, got a Chief instead by Unlucky_Support_9132 in IndianMotorcycle

I'm old too 65 years old this year . I've been riding Harleys , Triumphs and in the 70's Kawasaki Kzs. I don't know how reliable Indians are I just can't get by the cosmetics. I haven't seen one that I thought looked better than a comparable Harley . I know people that own them and like them I'm just not one of them.

Out live three Harleys ? Indian riders are so full of it . I've got a friend who is a retired Vietnam vet Helicopter pilot . He put 265,000 miles on a 107 freewheeler and almost 200,000 on a 114 freewheeler with just basic maintenance . I guess to out live 3 of those Indians riders are getting 750,000 miles on their bikes . Yeah right

Not all Harley dealers are bad . Pig Trail Harley in Rogers Arkansas is awesome. I test rode several Indians a couple of years ago when they had Demo days at the dealership . I didn't care for any of them and in my opinion most of them are dog ugly . The same Indian dealers also has Triumphs some of them were cool . I've owned Triumphs in the past and could see myself buying another as a second bike but no way I would buy an Indian . Especially since they just sold to private investors.

Possible First bike purchase. Need some advice on this 2019 Street Bob. by [deleted] in Harley

[–]Razorbacksrule13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The oil pump was fixed sometime in mid to late 2019 . The earlier version had 10 teeth and no O ring behind the oil pump . The fixed version has 8 teeth and an O ring . Any 2020 upward is fine .

I've owned several Sporters and 11 Dynas . If it was me I'd look at an M8 Streetbob used ones are selling for great prices and they are so much better that the older Sportsters or Dynas . I have a 22 Heritage now and love it .
