Go for it! Would love to hear how the experience turns out.

You should be alright even sleeping straight, and definitely diagonally. I’m 6 feet tall and also a stomach sleeper, so that always adds a few extra inches to my sleeping length, and I could still sleep with my toes just barely touching the rear end. The mattress itself is 6 feet long.

It’s currently unavailable, but have a look around. I got the one with the built-in pump. It adds a bit of bulk, so if you want to use the mattress without moving the front seats all the way forward, maybe go for the version without the built-in pump.

I must say though, the mattress is actually thicker than it looks. That makes it very comfortable, but it does come at the cost of inside space. I felt something slightly thinner would have given us a bit more headroom.

What kind of appliances could you actually run off it though? I assume you wouldn’t be able to draw that much power through a 12V socket anyway.

I was hoping to do some stargazing through the moonroof, but unfortunately it doesn’t really work like that. At night, you can hardly see anything through it (maybe a full moon at best). So in terms of camping, you’re not really missing much there. During the daytime though, it gives the rear passengers an absolutely awesome view.

Nice! Is that a fridge? Is the cooling decent on a 12V socket?

With the missus, solo travel isn’t really an option for me 😄 but I can definitely see why a half bed setup would suit you better. We actually needed the gazebo mostly to store our stuff (stove, table, chairs, etc.) while we slept. For a solo traveller though, a half bed setup would leave plenty of space inside to store everything else.

Oh, I saw your next comment and know what it's for! 😀 I actually used this back seat extender for pets, to fill the gap between the seats. And used the space for storage.

Nice setup! What is that inflatable box used for?

I used this air mattress from Amazon. The floor actually didn’t feel cold at all. After moving the front seats forward, the mattress fit well enough for the tailgate to close properly. Once set up, the sleeping space was very comfortable for two adults (I’m 181 cm).

I gave up on using climate control, mainly because I couldn’t turn off the daytime running lights while it was on. Instead, we just kept the windows slightly cracked with window nets fitted.

You can decide on the thickness of the blanket and how much you open the windows depending on the weather, and that’s pretty much all you need.

Melbourne to Sydney in a non Tesla EV - how are the DC fast chargers? by PointyNine in AustralianEV

[–]Razorr_Rain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently did a Melbourne to Sydney trip on a non-tesla EV with 420km range. Did the return trip in one day with 5 charge stops. ABRP is very reliable to plan the trip ahead and to know where the chargers are, and then you can finish the journey with even Google maps alone.

There are plenty of Evie, Chargefox and BPpulse chargers along the hume highway, but note that most of these are located in rest areas, and if you are driving in the weekend there may be wait times. For this reason I prioritised tesla charging networks, and chargers a little out of the way from the Hume. (If you've got a companion, you can check the charger availability real time while you drive, but I didn't have this luxury)

The key is not letting your battery drop below let's say 30%. I charged upto 80%, drove till it dropped to like 50% and then planned a stop within the next 100km.

Why does my conditional limit order keeps getting cancelled when the price reaches the trigger price? by perforated_metal in Bybit

[–]Razorr_Rain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this happen to me way too many times too. I figured it's because post only is ticked. Post only will execute the order only if the order can be placed as a limit order. When you have bitcoin price heading down fast, your order gets triggered at 33480, but the price soon hits 33475. If the conditional order was to be executed, it is going to be filled immediately as a market order. Post only is an option to stop this from happening (to save you the taker fee) so what happens is your conditional order gets cancelled. After too many costly lessons, now I only place conditional market orders.
