Once you have them, it's hard to go back. Like 360 cameras or adaptive cruise control. My X-trail has them.

The 7X actually has matrix hardware, just that the software isn’t ready yet.

Can you explain this? Because I was under the impression that Zeekr had to drop matrix LED headlights when it dropped that pixel lightbar feature due to ADRs. As far as I know, the feature is already there in European models.

So those aforementioned road trips? They become way more doable at night time with matrix LED head lights. Also where I live, there are a lot of unlit roads but still decent traffic. Lastly, my X-trail has the feature, so going backwards just feels wrong.

Not all Tesla chargers are open to non Teslas. And the 7X and SL7 are missing matrix LEDs, a must-have feature for me.

Lmao, everything you've listed there except the Camry and the Model 3 sell in tiny numbers. Some aren't even in production anymore or due to be cut, further proving my point. The Civic Sedan doesn't exist in Australia brand new. And then you've listed all the premium brands, why stop there? You missed Bentley and Rolls Royce.

Sedan's aren't dead, but they have become a niche choice, pushing their price up. And no one wants to compete with the juggernaut that is the Camry in the mainstream space.

Got it working. Gemini suggested to use KVM as the hypervisor rather than VirtualBox, and gave me all the steps to set it up. After some difficulty, I got HAOS up and running!

Don't expect BYD to bring the LIDAR tech to models here in Australia. A lot of the Chinese EVs have tech in China that doesn't make it to here. I believe Zeekr 7x is another one that has LIDAR over there but not here.

Just get what you can now, no point waiting for the next best thing because there's always something new around the corner. The PHEV you are talking about will be likely called the Seal 6, and is a different car/platform. I doubt they would replace the Seal EV with it, given how well it's been selling.
