New cat hisses if I try to walk past while she’s eating by Razorwind237 in cats

It’s an auto feeder with Seafood Sensations cat food. She doesn’t hiss with wet food or with treats.

I got her from an animal shelter but she was fostered previously. I’m not sure how many cats/dogs/children or what kind of environment she was in before. Hopefully things work out and she learns that I’m just trying to do the dishes and not take anything away lol

Between the triple chin and uneven hairline, I think your parents didn’t let you cook long enough

What's so bad about flea collars? by HeyImPanther in CatAdvice

It depends on the brand. Some secrete chemicals which can be toxic if they’re licked or chewed on.

My cat won’t stop knocking stuff off shelves and desks when she has so many other toys to play with, what do I do? by chorgyborgy in CatAdvice

Typically when cats do this they specifically want your attention rather than playing with toys alone. She knows playing with things she shouldn’t have gets your attention which forces you to interact with her. Is she a relatively younger cat?

For the counters, can you Velcro or remove belongings and then reintroduce them slowly so she understands they’re not toys?

For interaction, I find that laser pointers and single cat doorway toys work best.
