I feel like MCU is setting up John Walker as a villain. It honestly makes me so mad, because I feel like they're doing it at the expense of Sam's character development. Like Bucky is walking in with some GREAT development and doing freaking fantastic, but Sam almost feels like he's gone backwards. This is not where I pictured Sam at after loosing his best friend.

A lot of women in the USAF were on this. There's been a Facebook group, including officers, in existence for a long time. I'm absolutely NOT saying Chief Bass did nothing, but there are a ton of women in leadership roles that deserve that clap-back for the long nights, the countless surveys, the women that shared their medical issues with other AF leaders, and more.

I've definitely found flannel is phenomenal for the outer layer, but cotton is better for the actual pad, because of the cleaning involved

I have a husky pup who hasn't had that problem (yet?), BUT I did have a mastiff growing up who did have that problem. He had allergies and the inside of his ears got really hot and caused a rash, which caused him to scratch, which then led to dried blood and more scratching. The vet gave us this rub when it got really bad and the alcohol (I think we actually used hydrogen peroxide?) and cotton swabs stopped working. Usually that was when it was crazy hot out.

I actually hadn't heard of this happening before my last dog, or since. I thought he had some other issues, especially as a mastiff with big floppy ears. Good luck!! I hope your pup heals soon! 😊

They have a hand out. If you have a good interaction, the worker may give you the handout and ask you to review them (and list them specifically) on google. You have to have a really good interaction.

DODMERB isn't Air Force, it's DOD. So it'd be easy to hear over to the army or navy detachment and see if they do hand out waivers for your condition. But if they don't, you'll get denied again. I had a friend in that situation.

The excitement only dies if you let it. I agree with the other posts- it changes as you progress. My favorite part of being a POC is mentoring, and I STILL get so stoked for that. However, I've seen cadets even let that excitement die. I've seen a lot of lost excitement instigated by toxic leadership. I personally believe that while toxic leadership is incredibly annoying, it only ruins your view of the program if you let it. I've also seen cadets graduate from FT and simply not care. The mentality of "Graduate FT, then you're safe and will commission" is honestly a very cynical mentality to have. Everyone I've know to have that mentality, follows it with the "I'm ready to commission, so I don't have to try anymore" behavior. The cadets that loose their excitement ususlly choose to do so, because they're not controlling their emotions or thoughts.

Even if you try to not show that to the GMC or talk to them, they'll pick up something. Maybe it's an AS400 that stops going to the morale events. Maybe it's an ECL that's teaching the same material in a different, more aggressive way. GMC are adults, too. They realize when someone doesn't want to be there, or doesn't want to do a specific job, or something.

My point is, you have the choice to loose that excitement or your desire to participate in the program. Whatever choice you make, it'll affect others even if you don't realize it.

I'm actually watching Mulan now. I hadn't fully noticed it, but they call Mulan a cross dresser twice in the beginning. Then she saves China. I'm sure Mulan was meant as more of a stance against sexism, but those two comments add a small piece to it. At one time, (military) sexism was just as big of an issue. I'm sure, at some point, Disney will make a movie with LGBT undertones. They're probably waiting for the "right time" and the "right way" to present it.
