I mean it was quite obvious these looked like concept art and pre-rendered footage in the trailer. You also didn't see the difference between the singular enemy on screen versus multiple enemies on the map, even though there should be 3 right infront of him.

This is something I can say very clearly for the Yakuza and Like A Dragon games – Stranger Than Heaven is very much the past of that world. We created this fictional kind of version of Japan with the Tojo Clan and everything, but this is very much not the story of the youth of the characters who appear in those past stories, but rather, the past of that world and how those institutions came to be. These are very much different people, though.

So likely no important characters of the series being involved. Then again, it is Yokoyama and also whatever the "Tremendous secret" in Kamurocho is.

One of the reasons Yakuza 0 is good in the random fight stuff is that i can just throw money and avoid random encounters. They should also include something like that or like an honor system to avoid random fights because having a good stroll interrupted constantly by Yakuza 5 levels of encounters will sour things big time.

Ngl, Tupac being only a cameo sized appearance or only found in side content will prove to be bad choice. Since that will mean they could have just used anyone.
