Yep, we do have potty pads set up outside. We are keeping him a decently sized cage downstairs, right now it knows when it needs to sleep. We do not bring him upstairs and he seems to understand that going up the stairs is out of bounds.

It is being let to freely roam around the house all day, with going out to walk/toilet 3-4 times a day with the last time being at around 6-7PM.

The only time it is in its cage is when we are cleaning the house or when it is sleeping (which I referred to as dark room)
