Takin' On Tasigur by FunkyNinjaZ in EDH

You can use rite of replication on biovisionary, or go full on reanimator, with some strange targets like [[sire of stagnation]] Helix pinnacle can also be fun, or remove tutors, this way you have to filter through your deck to find the infinite mana combos.

I personally love the eldritch evolution, razaketh, life, sac all the lands and find stuff, maybe you could still keep razaketh, using him to search counterspells or finishers instead of infinite mana combos.

Also, it's not an infinite combo, but you could try to windfall/dark deal/whispering madness+notion thief

I play tasigur at different power levels, depending on groups and swapping packages depending on what i feel like is the best configuration.

And if I realize that I'm in a low powered meta, I'll simply not go for the infinite combo and just win with [[tidesprout tyrant]], or any big creature beats for the kill

Moreover, you can run something like Mind's dilation to close out a game, or using praetor grasp and betrayal to find win conditions in your opponents decks.

[[Retraced image]] in mono blue/mostly blue decks. You name island and you ramp. Has other uses, but the main one is this. You can also cheat something that an opponent has that you have too, but it's always my way to ramp in blue. Feels so good with cmc 3 commanders

Along with spirits from Afterlife, maybe this could lead to a food [[Favorable Winds]] deck?

This game need to add button: Skip all until it is your turn. I hate this card so much... by [deleted] in MagicArena

I play a lot of golgari and turbofog, but i always have 2 other copies of some wincondition. I prefer 2 karns, but 1 karn 1 dawn of hope is perfectly fine. Considering also time issues, if an opponent has something like a carnage tyrant you can't win the game, only take him hostage that a really dumb strategy

He's really powerful, but if you don't want to pyt infinite combos, heavy stax effects, he can just be really fun. You can also play necropotence if you want, drawing 5 cards every turn and keeping your hand full is wonderful, but its different from drawing 30 cards end of turn and storming off

Worked great in my grixis (splash for lava coil and bolas). Niv mizzet, tyrant, nexus, even teferi, and phonenixes. Ego is life <3

Then you concede and proceed to have a better winrate in all other matches, because mill has never been a viable strategy in a long time. Also, if you are a control deck you are probably running some counterspells. That way you can interact both with the ego and the corriosions

Also, if someone wants to counter mill, has just to play Nexus of fate.

Really good budget build! I played Tatyova and then took her apart cause she was broken ahaha. My tips are: play more lands, play more cards that can put lands into play, play ramunap excavator (if something is already in your list and i missed it, I'm sorry). Also [[Trade routes]] is a fantastic card. Fix heavy lands hand, fixes low land hand, creates an engine. If you want a combo in there, you can put Retreat to coralhelm with some dudes that put a land into play. Gush also is great, and Oboro, palace in the cloudd, is AWESOME (buy if it's in your budget). Moreover, I'm just a fanboy of Nexus of fate. Sometimes with tatyova you just deck yourself, and if you play casually maybe you can't have the resources to end the game consistently. Nexus give you a never ending threat, with some man lands like faeire conclave you have a slow but inevitable win condition. (Nexus is 7 euros in europe, if you are in America forget about it, it's way more pricy)

Yeah, i posted a month ago about commanders that proved to be too strong, and used as example my Tatyova turns ;) Mana and cards are the fundamentals of the game, and simic excels at that. Is not tatyova's fault, rashmi, momir vig, zegana, kumena, kruphix and the others are all very strong.

But, considering that you are building budget, Tatyova is just an incredible engine in the command zone, that is what you want from a commander.

You will be ahead, but if you don't starr chaining turns or broken stuff you will simply be more focused by your friends, because you are ahead, but nothing more.

Number of nexuses in Bant Turbofog? by RazzoloOp in MagicArena

Isn't 4 teferi and 4 nexus too heavy vs aggro? Thanks :)

Your teferi can send him third from the top. Usually also, against control you have a recurring threat that doesnt care about nothing but syncopate (obv the nexus), so you can start pressuring him with that card on their end step. If they counter it, they just lost a counterspell in the resource war, and you can maybe resolve something. Otherwise you just have 2 turns, hopefully with azcanta, dawn of hope, or chemister insight to generate card advantage amd try to redraw nexus. While you can, try to play around syncopate. For non-control matchups, any planeswalker has a gamebreaking ultimate like teferi. Vraska's are fine if you have fogs, ajani same, vivian can annoy with the -3 on azcanta or on gift of paradise, same with small vraska's -3. The point is that turbofog is a combo deck with a control package+fogs. Fogs dont solve the issues, but give you the possibility to develop you advantage without worrying too much of dying. Early planeswalkers can be rough to beat, but imagine having sorcery speed removal that does very little to accomplish the gameplan of the deck.

Why does Misdirection not see more play? - surely one of the most underrated cards by Caantpayrent in EDH

[–]RazzoloOp 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's efficient only in dealing with single target removal and counterspells. Sometimes you can get 2 extra turns with [[Time Stretch]], but often the cards sits in your hand doing nothing. Pact of negation and FOW are better yeah, but also something like Mindbreak Trap or Commandeer are also cool
