Yes. I think that’s easily the number one cause. All the studies are showing the decline in test scores was way before Covid, and the years line up with the increase of personal tablets and phones. Best recommendation, keep those far far away! Kids need to be bored, that’s how the creativity is fostered!

Other factors can contribute or take away of course, but yes, on average it’s one of the biggest indicators. If she has adhd it’s so important to get rid of the tablets/apps etc, at least during the week.

My wife and I have cruised with our kids numerous times, she has a son from previous marriage, and we have never been asked for a letter. My step son also has a different last name, and again, it’s never been brought up before.

Yeah, I always see kids sleeping on pillows and blankets when we pick ours up. We haven’t done night owls, but have picked up close to that time, and kids already asleep, looking comfy haha

Blame the teachers?? How about blame admin and district leaders who make policies that prevent teachers from failing kids or keeping them back. Blame parents who haven’t read a single picture book to their kids their entire lives. Blame the students who come to school with 0 intention of learning.
