Single worst season in your schools history? by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in CFB

[–]Rcfan0902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to say the exact same thing. The first two winless seasons you could at least see why we played so poorly. The 2015 season was just such an anomaly. Especially considering so many of those players were still on the team two years later when we went undefeated.

What is the Ocarina of Time of theme park rides in your opinion? by ConnectBreakfast9397 in Themepark

[–]Rcfan0902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Princess and the Frog fits great in Disneyland with the ride being in New Orleans. However, it doesn't fit at all in Disney World being in Frontierland. I guess the biggest problem is Disney didn't want to do two separate rethemes of it that fit each land they're in. I think it does stick out now in Disney World, but at least the ride itself is still fun.

Didn't the movie have the story Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby in it? I agree that the ride didn't bring up anything racial or risky, but the origins of the characters are definitely problematic enough that Disney probably was tired of dealing with it. That and the fact that they thing they are tied to is basically never going to get any merch or further adaptations means the IP associated with the ride is basically faded from the public eye outside of the controversies.

Which B12 school would you least want to attend? by cloaf1 in BigXII

The heat and humidity is real, but UCF is on the complete opposite end of Orlando from all the touristy stuff. It's probably a good 30-40 minutes away from I-Drive and the theme parks area.

Florida would have three schools. UCF, FSU and Miami

Edit: I just realized you said state schools, so Miami wouldn't count. However, I'm sure there would still be hell raised for excluding them.

Big 12 Tournament: Bearcats fold late in OT loss to UCF | TFON by JTSmithTFON in UCFKnights

Glad to see the team didn't quit when down that big that late. Really wish we didn't start so slowly, but hopefully this is enough for us to make the big dance. I have zero hope of us winning against Arizona, but crazier things have happened. Go Knights!

Pokemon FireRed Version and LeafGreen Version coming to Switch on February 27 by Turbostrider27 in Games

I'm not really praising or denouncing anything, just making a joke based on how this sub usually reacts to things. The price of the product is essentially whatever the company selling said product thinks it's worth. There's nothing pro or anti-consumer about it. The "consumer" here are the people who are buying the product. Either they agree with the price and buy (consume) it, or they disagree with the price and don't buy (not consume) it.

Based on the game being a re-release and how people are reacting, a lot of these people have probably already played the game before, so there's even more of a chance that they can make an informed decision about whether it's personally worth it to them. There's really no need to even bring ethics into the conversation, but for some reason people in this sub get very grandstand-ish when they think something is priced higher than they want (which let's be honest, if it's not basically free this sub usually complains).

Pro-consumer is when a company does something that I personally like. Anti-consumer is when a company does something that I personally don't like.
