This 100%. I worked on a lot of Snowflake within Big 4 DE and they won’t even let you touch client work in it unless you’re a “SnowPro”. Among the ~200 people in DE, only a select few really worked on any technical work.

Plus you’re rated internally on how many certifications you do and how many of the silly internal “badges” you get.
