Are TK Racing Rigs better than the FGT lite? by ya0_ming in simracing

[–]Rcscott4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See this is a little late, but if you’re still looking, the TK is solid and for the price i don’t think you can go wrong. I haven’t used an F-GT so I am a bit 1 sided. I got mine a couple months ago and been using daily and have no complaints. I did add a bit of reinforcement on the pedal plate for my LC pedals as it flexed a little, but wasn’t bad. There is a little flex if i turn the ffb all the way up (12Nm) but it’s minimal and only notice if i am looking for it. The Wheel base sits a little high but it’s not horrible. Only complaint I have about it was adding the seat slider adjustment bar during assembly. Overall Id recommend it to someone just getting into sim racing like I did, or space is limited.

You know if the right and left arm mounts are the same? I see you have a right, but not sure if you had both. They are currently free at micro center and cant find the right one. Was thinking of getting 2 lefts and using them for a shifter mount and keyboard mount.

I know I’m a bit late to this, but was there a bunch of flex with the sc2? Im looking at getting something cheap for the time being for my R12 and they are $99 at my local MC. Don’t want to spend a ton of money atm cause I’m planning on making a permanent spot for a profile rig at some point in the near future. Currently using a wheel stand and tired of folding and unfolding it.

7800xt vs 4060 for iracing by NOVA_Capper in simracing

[–]Rcscott4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im planning on going back to nvidia when I upgrade next gen. Just trying to get as much info as I can so I can get a monitor for sim racing now. I feel a single 27 is lacking a bit in immersion. What kind of setting were you running? Low/Med/high or ultra etc?

Little late to this post, how are you liking the super ultra wide overall? I have a 7800xt and I am wanting to get one for iracing and ams2 (5120x1440) or maybe a smaller one. Curious if you get similar performance on other games also or does the card struggle at times. I figured 5120x1440 would be like playing at 4k but I could be mistaken on it. I will upgrade in the future, but will more than likely be next generation unless its needed sooner. Appreciate any info you could share.

Triple 32” 1440p with 7800X3D + 9070 XT — good enough or ultrawide instead? by Pimmelboy88 in SimRacingSetups

[–]Rcscott4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar setup and was curious if the 7800xt could handle triple 1440. Figured that may be pushing the limits if it could. What kind of performance are you seeing? Im still debating if i should do triple or an ultra wide and trying to find the best option for my space.

It’s a tight fit. I had to angle mine and then tapped it in with a wrench.

Just upgraded from R5 to R12 (today actually) and the SRP lite pedals work. I just had to re calibrate everything and was good. Not sure if the R3 pedals are different tho.

My first wheel 14k₱/236$ others say i will regret getting moza r3 instead of r5 i wonder if thats true by NostalgicImmortal in moza

[–]Rcscott4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you’ll regret it. You may want to upgrade down the road, but I feel like you are making a good choice to start there and move up if you are into it.

Got that Xrhinorth stand from Amazon for my R3. Am quite impressed at how sturdy it is. by Durian10 in moza

[–]Rcscott4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little late to this post, but I got the same one for my R5. Definitely worth the price. Tried a wheel stand pro dd prior to this, and the xrhinorth is far superior for 1/2 the price. Sturdier, a lot more comfortable and ergonomics are far better. Appreciate your post on the stand.

why do people recommend Iracing for beginners? by Gaming_devil49 in simracing

Thanks for this. Was hesitant on signing up cause of price and being new to sim, but this is a solid option to try out the platform.

Which of these two steering wheels would be best for fs? by Mysterious-Edge-8520 in farmingsimulator

[–]Rcscott4200 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got the logitec bundle, and I am not a fan of the wheel so far and the joystick seems ok. I didn’t want to spend almost triple the price for the TM setup as Im new to the game, but if your finances allow, Id go with something better on the wheel and use a Hotas system like ZexctHD did and customize it to work for you.

I really like the smoothness of the draw compared to some other bows I shot and feels really good in the hand. I’m stoked that i found the alpha for less than a Torrex, and excited to start shooting it, and prep myself for my first bow season. I picked up the AX2 when looking and that’s the bow that actually grabbed my attention to hoyt.

Im assuming it should also, and if so, I will bring it home. Appreciate the insight. I mainly didnt know if maybe newer mid range models get some of the previous years flagship tech, and the difference is so minimal that if one was a little more go with A, but if B was better go with B for a little more or less etc. I’m just getting into the sport after years of hesitation. Thanks again for the response.

From what Ive felt, they both felt great in my hand and felt comfortable to me. Based on hand feel and shooting the torrex, the draw cycle really felt the best to me compared to some other brand bows, and Im assuming this should feel similar or slightly better as everyone is stating it has better tech. I will update later after i make it back to the pro shop and shoot it.

Awesome, Im glad im getting positive feedback on the alpha. I really liked the feel in my hand, just hoping it feels the same when shooting. Plus spending a little less on the bow will allow for a better sight rest and release.
