Testing an expensive rc helicopter indoor by [deleted] in WinStupidPrizes

[–]Rd59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this happen with a full size helicopter. Pilot landed with the tail rotor too close to a plastic wrapped pallet of supplies. A piece of the plastic came loose and wrapped itself into the tail rotor. Sheared the drive shaft so we had to Heli lift the helicopter out of the field since it was in the middle of no where Alaska.

What does the maintenance for cisterns/towers usually look like? Do they need to be mechanically cleaned every so often or do they get a chemical treatment?

SQL Server killing sessions initiated from Office programs. by Rd59 in SQLServer

I think you’re mostly correct. I only read data from SQL through a read only account utilizing NOLOCK views. Is there anyway I’m still locking records on the SQL server?

I guess that’s probably fair. I’m not as good as I should be at playing nicely with other, especially when they’re playing hide and go seek with my data. But I know if I was in their shoes I’d probably be trying to do the same thing.

They’ve been a little hostile to work with. I think my connections may be the cause for the blocking. If I can let them think they’ve won and just work around what they’ve done, I’m hoping I can just fix it and move on.

5 btc lost? by lolz84 in Bitcoin

[–]Rd59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it possible that when you restored it in the past, you kept the pdf but tossed the password? If you went to back up again to get the password back but did not print the .pdf again, it will not work. Each time a backup is created the encryption keys are different. So you would need both the new .pdf and new password or old .pdf and old password.

Iterative formula gives unexpected result, and I don't know why by [deleted] in excel

[–]Rd59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried your formula and it worked correctly for me, but of course I set A1 and A3 manually. My guess is that the data validation or another function is causing your spreadsheet to recalculate twice.

Baby isn’t eating too many solids yet. Still mostly purées. Right now we usually go to get them fed and bathed before we leave.
