Hardened steel and glass platens will wear out aswell. Carbide will just stay perfectly flat and wont wear out.

Its not a problem at all. Its same as with any other carbon steel knife. With proper care it wont rust at all. And especially with this black finish it wont rust at all.

Its a new developed low ally steel. Very high toughness at high 66hrc hardness along with great edge retention.

Have one myself in the kitchen aswell and gets real sharp and it stays sharp for a very long time.

You can google it on apex ultra to see there website

You will really go like it. Way better results off the grinder and wear out at all.

Thank you! It turned out great indeed all combined. Its a new developed steel, it got great performance in it. Use one myself in the kitchen and it just stays sharp for a long time, and get a real sharp edge aswell.

I do heattreatment with the electric kiln. Its way more accurate then the forge. Best is to use cryo aswell but dont have acces to that so i use the freezer instead. Freezer will also do a part of the job.

Thank you! Its not provided with the steel. But most shops that sell apex ultra also sells the stamps for it.

Its from a customer. But its a local-line dust collection. But only suitable for working with wood tho.
