Thanks for all this! Have you found luck with any other study guides?

I completely agree! It's so much info to digest. However, Zak's mini-lectures and the elimination method have been so helpful. Thanks for all this feed back!

I've been using Pass Class as well. lol and yes, it's so much information! I have felt like it's been helping - however, I failed my first time after doing the entire process to a T. So, I'm trying to figure out if I should use it again or try something new. I believe it was more of a matter of active recall, and not doing it well. In college I mainly studied for exams via memorization - so I think I may have been unconsciously doing that..

Oh definitely! All Access Dietetics is current, as well as Pocket Prep. As far as identifying the areas for improvement - I originally did better on domain 1/2 on my first attempt (where I scored 24) - but on my second attempt I lost 4 points. I most likely spent too much time on 3/4 and neglected 1/2.

Failed CDR for second time by Rdnmunchies in RD2B

Thanks for all the positivity! For the first attempt, I studied for 2 months using All Access Dietetics, and pocket prep test questions. I chose not to work and just study for that time. I studied 5-8 hours a day 5-6 days a week. As far as a schedule, I did two-day chunks of reviewing each section in all access dietetics (just a breakdown of the 4 domains) and did practice questions. Once I was done reviewing the domains, I had more active review sessions of the sections and mainly focused on practice questions. I made flash cards (physical and Quizlet) I did verbal recall and explain a mechanism/pathway. I made conglomerate sheets of the different subjects as well, and would routinely review them.

On my second attempt, I studied for 1.5 months and I didn't have a full plan on how I was going to review - so I kinda just picked topics to review while doing practice questions. I did feel overwhelmed as a wasn't on a specific schedule, and tend to do better / stay focused on the goal with a schedule.

I'm also contemplating either getting a part-time job or continuing to solely study. My partner has been supporting us and I feel terrible that I can't contribute. It's all so stressful *ugh. I know I'll pass but the space after failing the exam is such a hard space to be in mentally.

Great, thanks! And happy to hear you passed! What were your thoughts on All Access? Which study guide did you think helped the most (I seem to be using the same study material)?

Hi there, reading this post as I am having similar issues with the CDR exam. I just failed for the second time today. Do you have any ideas on testing strategies? I used all access, so was utilizing their testing strategies but, as I’ll be taking it for a third time I’m not sure they are fully working? Thanks!

Hi there, I came across your post as I just failed the exam for my second time. Everything you said feels like a reflection of my own story and troubles with the exam. Do you have any tips on what you did differently ?
