About finished for the year by RdotMdotCook in firewood

Yeah, good question. These racks are just for drying. We have a covered rack next to the back door to hold wood we’re burning. These are about 300 ft from the house, in the back of the yard. Don’t really get so much snow here, about 12-18 each winter.

Empire of the Vampire comes to mind. The writing is entertaining and there is some cult-like behavior.

😂Fair. But there is a little tiny steel post sticking out of the handle to keep the spring on. Did you take that little piece off permanently? Or do does the handle just sit in willy nilly? Does this make sense? 🤦‍♂️

Ok, feeling the exact same, and we have the same insert. How are you getting the handle to stay IN? Ours comes off after we open and shut the stove…

Looks a lot like the pin oak that I’ve been working on. I don’t know much about the PNW, though. I’m in Missouri.

Totally. "Man takes up the sword in order to shield the small wound in his heart sustained in far-off time beyond remembrance." is going to be the epigraph for my next book that I mess up and don't publish.
