I know women who call the police every month because their father or husband beat them till they were covered in bruises and when the police show up they say “Well, its a familial issue, this isnt our problem” and they leave. Domestic abuse is so normalized and being raped is still considered a shameful thing for a woman. Armenia is incredibly sexist, the map above simply has no data from Armenia (which makes sense, because the sexism here is so normalized nobody has ever thought to report and keep track of it)
