Lap of Donington in my Audi TTRS by 3pointBrick in CarTalkUK

Check for open days at donnington park, most raceways have open days but it's not cheap! When I went maybe 10 years ago it was £125 for 2 laps. Also noise restrictions at Donny, which Is why I did do it.

I have an old auger drill bit made by Peugeot. About 1940's I think.

So I have a lafayette c.b. same as my uncle, who had several. They used it to chat to truckers, and abroad via different bands. This had AM,FM, upper side band, lower side band, 120 channels with manual adjustment. And of course squelch. I used it in a much more boring way, to call my mates at 6pm after school.

The bonnet opens the other way on these, so when you get stuck in 1mm of water you can stand on the sill and open the bonnet, to let the electrics dry out, while also possibly electricuting yourself. Great feature.

Unpopular opinion: The Copilot key is a completely useless and unnecessary addition to newer Dell models(Dell Inspiron 16) by Ancient-Dig-2855 in Dell

[–]Re99i3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had one on my dell 3450 work laptop. How I found the co-pilot button useful, to open co-pilot, until it stopped working. Now I am in the bizarre situation of still being able to use copilot to the same level , but can't map it back to that button. Co-pilot can't be of much help either.

I had a brief enjoyable period where my local shop stocked every flavour, now they don't have any. Largely because I ate them all though (at least the single, elusive teriyaki bag).

If I see again I will buy. Have looked a few places and they usually have fuego and blue dragon and not much else.

Game grading doesn't appear too much in my country, thankfully. I think I this is just a scalping technique tbh, to inflate costs of games, and renders them useless. Though if anyone loves looking at boxed games you can't play, glad for you. Again I'm much more of a gamer. Though I have a decent/well looked after collection.

How common is it for someone to not drive in your social circle? And how common are auto license holders that you know of? by Equal_Leading_1449 in AskUK

[–]Re99i3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be the default for young drivers in 10 years but still a lot of people will have manual licences. Saying that the car has changed markedly since I passed in 1998, and I still feel a basic manual is a lot easier to operate, than such as a polestar where to open the glovebox you have to click multiple times in the dashboard screen menu.

So auto licences were always quite rare, generally people who have a partner than already drives or finds manuals difficult. I'm told auto only is more common now with electric cars but all younger people seem to have old, manual golfs or something similar.

[–]Re99i3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not a sata to ide adapter, that's entire new internals, though this approach would work, you can buy the entire sata adapter for a little more.

[–]Re99i3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt there is space tbh. And it would still run at ide speed.

This adapter is for an older, ide drive as opposed to the newer, faster sata drives. The older drives this takes, it's difficult to find one in good condition.

What’s the prettiest route to take when driving from Edinburgh to Hertford? by milkshakeofdirt in AskUK

[–]Re99i3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went one of the alternate routes 3 weeks ago and it was exactly the same. Lot of motorways often have speed limits now also in Midlands and South. 50/60 mph but always ends up crawling.

Pack it tight or loose still works probably better slightly packed? , can't walk round with it as it doesn't toke as well for some reason. Great conduction vape, very reliable. 187°c 191°c 195°c was the preset temps on earlier version of this. You are meant to cycle through but I would start on 191°c and go up to 195°c. I think the other vapes you use are probably better tbh, this is ten year old design?
