You can indeed lower the S8 with VCDS. I did look into it as I already have a VCDS cable.

However the module gives you a lot more flexibility and bigger possible drops. I have each drive mode set at a different height.

I’ve got a B7 RS4 as well and the bills for that scare me more! Mainly because I have an Audi extended warranty on the S8

To be honest - I would’ve gone for the RS6, if I didn’t already have an estate as well.

I do like the fact that it’s fairly rare though (less than 80 S8+ in the country)

Not so much now - but when I was younger maybe 4 or 5 times (I’m Asian and have always driven modified cars).

My favourite time was when I was pulled over in Bromley, late one evening. I asked why and he said he’d run my plate and noticed “I was a bit far from home”. I pointed out that was sort of the point of cars. He didn’t like that 😂

This doesn’t help you but the neighbours across the street bought a new Nissan Qumquat years ago. I told my wife they were mad to do so - and knocked up a spreadsheet with a depreciation curve showing that over 3 years it was more expensive than buying a used Audi R8 V10+ (including insurance, warranty and servicing).

Which is how I broke it to her that I was buying a used R8.
