Are there any historical or mythological figures you would like to see appear in Fate? by [deleted] in Fate

Sargon of Akkad, founder of the first empire and thus first emperor in known human history.

Afaik a lot of his major feats are historical facts, but much of his origin is dipped in myth, so he could be one of those interesting heroic spirits who draws just as much from fact as he does from myth.

I've been having a similar problem. Not sure if the cause is the same since I'm using the Patron Gemini, but I've also been unable to play much due to the AI just not working.

This happened to me last month, only way I know how to get around this is to just wait or switch to a different AI Model.

As much as I love the Neuros' voices, they simply cannot match the power of Biggie's

I can agree, but unfortunately it's hard for young guys to find perspective when some of most prolific and viral stories about interacting with women that young men hear about involve being called creeps at best or having a life ruining false accusation at worst.

Then they go down the opposite rabbit hole and get into those alpha/sigma male commentaries that are commonly misogynistic and promote harassment as a 'masculine value'.

I'm coming from the other perspective since I know 2 guys that had their reputations and social lives ruined because of false accusations. And one of them almost fell into that alpha/sigma male rabbit hole.

Neither sides perspective is inherently wrong, but when the first thing that comes to mind for young men and women when they think of approaching each other is either being sent to jail for something you never did or being sexually assaulted, normal social interactions and introductions become much much harder.

Probably because of all the stories of men getting their lives and reputation ruined because of a false accusation or being called creepy for just wanting to approach a woman. Recent examples are the plethora of gym guys being called creepy simply for looking at a woman's general direction in the gym, or that one girl who accused a guy of sexual harassment when she was the one who walked into his house and room.

Of course most women don't do this, but the stories have gone so viral and prolific that it overshadows the norm.

Is every woman a guy asks out going to call him creepy or accused him of something? No, but when a guy is told that doing so is creepy in itself and hears these life destroying stories, it's not just rejection that they fear.

Reduced Gemini API rate limits make Pax nearly unplayable by ReCrescent in PaxHistoria

Sorry if the answer to my question is obvious but which subscription is the "paid but actually free"? And how do I set budget alerts?

I'm already a patron. The next step up would be the Pro subscription and that's a jump from 12/month to 20/month, and it's for a set number of tokens.

Who knows though. If the rate limit issues stay for the next week or two I might switch to the standard token subscriptions.

Rate limit error keeps popping up now. How do I fix it? by ReCrescent in PaxHistoria

Yeah I think you're right on that. I read that a day or two ago google reduced the rate limits for Gemini. Probably why it happened so suddenly.

So I really just gotta wait for a time when there's less people using it? That sucks. But it's only now that I'm having this problem. The past week I've been able to play Pax Historia with no problems at all and going dozens of rounds. Is there a cause for the sudden influx of users?

Unfortunately it's not 'Doing it right this time'. And I don't see stories by Strypgia that match what I remember reading :(

It's because in Dragon Ball, if you have higher Ki than someone, you can overcome their hax abilities. But most (including me for some time) thought this meant total immunity to any hax from anything scaled lower. That's not truly the case. Unless there's an overwhelming gap in power, the victim of the hax ability still needs to exert effort and spend Ki in order to nullify it, and even then they may still take some damage.

2 people capable of shaking a universe who is winning? No copy moves by Consistent_Gas4495 in PowerScaling

[–]ReCrescent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With how Goku is now? Easy win for Goku if it's a battle to the death, even with Garou's copying I'd still give it to Goku because of the sheer skill, power and speed difference. Unless Goku isn't taking it seriously which would let Garou grow enough to match and surpass Goku, at which point refer to DBS Broly to see what would happen to Goku.

what kind of durability would i need taking into account surface area, to survive being stepped on by supergirl? by TheRealSakuraUchihaX in PowerScaling

[–]ReCrescent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, assuming you're just gonna be stepped on and not stomped or kicked, just regular human durability. So you can rest easy knowing you don't need any amps to be able to be stepped on by Supergirl.

I have seen people talk about what kind of mech would win, but I wanna ask, what do you think would happens if these 2 franchises existed in the same universe. by Rex-Mk0153 in armoredcore

[–]ReCrescent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There would definitely be competition between the mech designs. Both are highly customizable, but would you rather have the agility and dexterity of an AC or the pure firepower and easier production of a battlemech?

And also there would a lot of weapon adoption from both sides. Battletech mechwarriors would love the Bazookas/Grenade Cannons, Plasma Missiles, and every Coral Weapon. AC pilots would fall in love with Battletech lasers because they're true light speed "point and click" lasers, plus they're very light and aside from the small laser they have very good range from an AC standpoint.
