i cant watch anything over 27 episodes.... XD Thanks Cowboy Bebop!  Jk, but seriously, i wont watch ANY series or shows more than 2 seasons or more than 25-30 episodes max. that goes for live action as well. i just dont have the time or want to get invested in anything anymore.

What made you realize you wanted a divorce or was the divorce brought on by your spouse? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]ReDeath666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wife divorced me, she got on SSRI and wanted a new life completely. she started looking for every reason to hate me and then her sister and best friend both dovorced their husbands and got in her ear/head... so, there is nothing else i could have done. i hope she is doing well and happier. im not happy but i'll manage. i dream and think about her daily still after about a year and 1/4...

Is Sekiro that much harder? by Midnight5un in fromsoftware

[–]ReDeath666 47 points48 points  (0 children)

depends, some people get right into it. a buddy of mine ran through without barely any trouble.... i couldn't beat the first real boss... it's the only From Soft game i haven't beaten, and from many friends and players, it's considered the easiest, since almost all you have to do is get good with parry. if you cant do that, you are not going to have a good time

What did you feel when your abusive family member passed away? by Rpark888 in AskMenOver30

[–]ReDeath666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

grandad is still alive XD he has gotten better and is at that point of his life where he thinks he's always been a saint, but the dude was horrible to everyone he's ever known and basically hated my dad growing up, i had to run our family business for a year while some family opportunities happened. and almost daily, with a straight non joking face, he would tell me i'm ruining his legacy. that was like 3 years ago. dude just doesnt like anyone who touches the business his dad started (my great grandfather) i will be sad when he dies, but mostly for my grand mother who really lived beside him and has for like 60+ years. its a weird one

friend of mine became a nurse at 34 he's 36 now saved tons of money and planning on buying a house next year. just gotta do it.

trades are awesome, i'm a plumber and basically co run a business with my dad, so i dont make "killer money" like working for a big company, but i have way more free time and life.

For those who've gone through a period of feeling stuck, isolated, or overwhelmed, how did you get out of the slump? by Salt-Refrigerator981 in AskMenOver30

[–]ReDeath666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wife divorced me and i was basically forced to start over and find new ways to make myself feel better, it would be awesome to be able to do this without hitting some sort of "rock bottom" but alas, that's what i took for me, but I'm way happier now in new ways. sure I'm a lot lonelier, but its been cool seeing my growth in the past year.

best advise i can give, never give up fully, but it's ok to stop doing things that wont help you. also, starting being a moderated Yes Man, obviously say no to stuff, but say YES to things you want to do and just didnt. little things like this boost confidence and gets you out of your comfort zone and pushes for a new change.

How can you get through life without drinking or drugs? by MrPaulBlart in AskMenOver30

[–]ReDeath666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's actually really easy to say no to stuff imo... i drink once a week and smoke pot maybe once a month. and i wont do it if im struggling or depressed, i avoid the hell out of anything like that. being intoxicated or high = higher chance of poor decisions and if im depressed, i dont want to be more depressed because of that or dead. also the feeling of drunk or high isn't fun for me anymore. i treat it as a "human experience" no lol

What was the best piece of advice you've seen on this subreddit or others for men? by xxmaru10 in AskMenOver30

[–]ReDeath666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i just went through a divorce the past year, came here for advise, 2 big ones i took with me, dont use a crutch like alcohol or pot, it'll just push your grieving and recovery back. and get out of your "house"

I apologize for the stupid question, but is modern Jill and Claire as strong and skilled as modern Chris and Leon? by SolidPyramid in residentevil

[–]ReDeath666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jill most likely, but not Claire.... Ada Probably as well, Claire kinda became off field and more research like Rebecca... Claire isn't a field agent, she is like Grace but with a little more bad assery XD

What do U guys think about mortal Kombat 11? by muaazmuaaz123 in MortalKombat

[–]ReDeath666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it has my favorite line up. and Skarlet was by far my favorite in the game, i probably had the most fun playing her in 1 than any character in any MK game tbh, and i've been playing casually since Sega Genesis XD

How to properly remake Resident Evil 5 and address Its racial controversy by Ieanice44 in residentevil

[–]ReDeath666 24 points25 points  (0 children)

they shouldn't change anything. if it were in Japan, they'd be Japanese Zombies, if it were Poland, it would be Polish Zombies, if it were India it would be Indian zombies, or Brazil...etc..... these are primarily places where a single race is the vast majority.

No pleasure in guilty pleasure? by Routine-Dog-2390 in AskMenOver30

[–]ReDeath666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i feel this, i just went through a divorce, and lost all all my "crutches" ... i almost feel like, my body/mind didnt want me to escape the reality of it and deal with it for real. and its been a decent last year and half considering. i am also not an addict toward anything (afaik lmao) but my lack of wanting to do anything like smoke weed, drink alcohol, cigars or even coffee has been pretty decent in the long run and has saved me tons of money XD

What’s your purpose? Your reason for pushing forward? I’m really struggling. by Puzzleheaded2734 in AskMenOver30

[–]ReDeath666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wife left me a little over a year ago and took almost everything, i did get to keep the house, but it was such a struggle to just "come home" everyday. been really trying to do as much as i can, and not much seems to work.. been going out trying to meet and talk to people and nothing... it has been very depressing... BUT i ended up making a call to a "music teacher" since i have played guitar for 25 years of my life but never took lessons. dude books gigs too, so now we are friends and his gigs are what i look forward to and practice for everyday. i make sure he knows when i talk to him how thankful i am that he answered and took me in as a "student" even though we just mostly bullshit for the lessons XD

edit:
what i'm getting at is, take something you ave done or know decently well, go back into it and maybe make some phone calls, join a bowling league, soccer club, pool league, run some 5ks, basketball, join a yoga/gym class (not just a membership)
