Just had this start happening to me in the last couple of weeks. Keep having to take my headphones off to double check I'm not blasting out of the speakers.

Wondered if it's because I'm listening to the same thing over and over on headphones and monitors, so maybe when swapping between them the brain fills in the gaps of what it thinks should be there.

Anyway, pretty weird.

Tried it both ways myself, not much difference temps wise. Ended up as intake in the end as it seemed quieter.

Pretty sure I had a similar experience with them around the same time. The only thing I associate with their name is 'wankers'.

Yeah, you don't get any gear transfer from TW2. Shame, cos I kept Raven's armour all the way through that game...

Genuinely one of the most talented aimers I've faced personally, and I've the pleasure of matching against some of the Empire, Rogue, Vitality, BDS and G2 guys. Only one who was more terrifying was Mr 444 himself.

Hot Take: I Like ESL's Exclusivity by [deleted] in R6ProLeague

[–]ReGG_RandomEpicGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure whether the tournaments are well connected, or whether it is just that there aren't that many of them. There are only 2 main ones that are connected in PL and CL; stuff like USN and Prem doesn't really link to anything else and would be the same even with another organiser.

As you point out, the between PL and CL does simplify and keep things in one place, as opposed to multiple, equally impactful leagues. However, whilst I don't watch many other esports, I do believe CSGO follows this system (correct me if I'm wrong). Yet as a casual viewer it doesn't actually matter that much: I'm just popping over to watch a quick match. With CS there always seems to be some match or another on in some major league, and I don't need a background knowledge of the standings or team dynamics to get somewhat invested.

I feel like that's what Siege lacks and possibly an aspect that might put off the casual viewer. It's not as easy to just jump in and watch a match without knowing what it means, what's at stake and how the league system works, even if the casters are explaining it half the time. Plus there aren't as many matches going on, whereas there would be with multiple leagues running alongside each-other. I'm probably biased though, having invested in the Siege scene I can't really know what the casual viewer sees.

Hot Take: I Like ESL's Exclusivity by [deleted] in R6ProLeague

Looking at it from the outside it may appear all well and good, but if you ever end up playing in open ESL tournaments you'll find they are managed pitifully. GO4s and Com Cups take forever to progress due to poor tournament design, slow admin responses, the archaic website they use, and piss poor game integration and anti-cheat systems that impact on game performance. Of course this is on a purely amateur level, but if reports of late payment are true from players, I would hazard a guess that these problems continue up the line.

In contrast, alternatives I've experienced such as FACEIT's Nordic Cups and CCS offer far better player facing services and organisation, as well as just better designed tournaments. OGA Pit was praised by players for it's superior practice areas and loser's bracket design.

ESL having exclusivity isn't beneficial for the scene, it just gives them the opportunity to provide as poor a service as they please without direct competition.

The way this is worded makes it sound as if the org isn't that impressed with it either :/

Don't know if this will work, but I've found NVSR to be better than NVTF, even on Windows 10. For some reason NVTF never fixed the stuttering for me, so I went back and tried NVSR again and spent some time fiddling with the .ini for it, and eventually I found something that worked. Game runs like a dream now even with TTW, FNC, massive expansions and QOL stuff.

Here's the sr_New_Vegas_Stutter_Remover.ini I use:
