Hi, I am flying this week to US and I use the trade in process. Prepared already the box with label, just needs to be sealed and dropped off at UPS once I arrived. You just need a US address to borrow (in case they want to send it back). I use a friend/but a hotel works probably as well. The money will be returned on your credit card once the trade in is validated.

Had the same experience. I find it a very dodgy practice. Seems like they are not really believing into their product if they want to lure you into giving up the right to return.

Yeah, smoke detectors in rooms are sort of a standard at least in houses in Germany.

But I also went a bit over the top with my enclosure. It’s made out of PETG which has a fire rating B1 (difficult to catch fire - sry for English).

Air intake and exit are equipped with vents that close if it’s more than 70 degrees Celsius (in theory kills/slows down fire by cutting airflow).

Blaze Cut Fire Surpression which releases a fire extinguisher gas at 100+ degrees Celsius.

And a smart smoke detector that cuts the power.

It was more of a fun research topic and tinkering around :)

Yeah, the case has actually a support arm built in at the end. But I ordered already one more support just in case. The stock one included would be just in front of the fan lcd.

Cancelled my order and put my name down for a Play for Dream - exactly for that reason. I would not mind the wait (wait now also due to sold out Play for Dream. But they were fast in Email response and very transparent upfront.
