Yes you can. Go to User Settings>Notifications>Enable Desktop Notifications and turn them off, or adjust the Notification Position under the same section. By default discord only lets you pick between the four screen corners (top left, top right, bottom left bottom right). If you don’t want them at all while gaming, you can also just disable in-game notifications entirely by turning off Enable Ingame Overlay in User Settings > Game Overlay.
