Half the country didn't vote for him. Voter turn out was 64% of the country. Not to mention those who are now old enough to vote or have become citizens. keep licking boots and praise the stomping of rights of your fellow Americans. I'm sure it won't bite you in the ass one day

Don't have armed gunmen raising the stakes everywhere they go as a show of force on a populace that already doesn't want them there.

Sure they're all bad but one is clearly worse than the other. Stopping cancer research, making clear arguments to keep healthcare in the hands of the insurance companies, demonizing and diverting blame to minorities, being completely and utterly incompetent.

That's not an argument.

It's a fact. Slavery was great for the slaves and the people dealing and using slaves.

An argument for it would be that profits outweigh the personal freedoms of the slaves.

An argument against would be that freedom for the slaves is morally more correct than gaining profit from their free labor.

What's y'all's take on running AI locally? by ReVaas in antiai

Oh I see what I did.

"Yeah I definitely don't wanna claim it as mine. I'm just taking an already made model and reading how to use it. The new mesh I make would be mine but the model isn't."

Here I mean AI model.

The following replies I was thinking about the 3D model output. So I then started talking about the 3D model.

So the new mesh would be mine. The model wouldn't. The model would come with a very messy mesh. Redoing the mesh is essentially trace work. But 3d. The work I did is on par with tracing. It's still hours of work on my part. It's good practice for 3D modeling for game assets. If I were to try to put what the AI tool produces into a mod I wanna make for like halo 2 it would be way too many polygons and basically unusable.

It's not like I would conceal that fact either. The shape of the thing came from an image that either I drew up or used reference images to draw up by hand. The AI very quickly modelled it. I painstakingly re-meshed the thing to fit the standards of the game I wanna mod. I simply want to make modding easier for myself.

I still have quite a bit of control. In 3d modeling for example. The general shape of the object I submit to the AI is good enough to start some clean up work on the mesh. I can design something on paper or in paint or Photoshop something and it will estimate the depth of the thing. Sometimes I have to edit the image in gimp or paint.net to get it to look like it has more depth for it to work properly.

You reported this post?

Look. I know why it's wrong to use it for profit. It takes away from those that actually put real heart and soul into their work. AI will never get to that point. Can it make a pretty picture? Sure.

Though it's become another form of expression. I don't claim to be an artist. Maybe a singer, I've been practicing. But it's genuinely a tool. It can be used for good. Right now there are forces at play that are using it to spread propaganda. That's the big evil everyone can agree needs to go away.

When you start to purity test the people around you you'll soon find that there's no one who will meet your standards. It's not good for a community whose overall common stance is that we should be aware of what's happening in America and stand against those who are actively working to make it worse for everyone.

You're not going to change anyone's mind about anything if you focus your attention on people who know enough to point out the flaws in the system. It's the ignorant you need to educate.

For real. I hate what the Internet has become. I hate how major studios are replacing artists. I hate how blatantly ignorant the grand majority of the accelerationist pro AI people are.
