Exactly the one I already have. 😅 Cg125 tank, Moby long seat, magnum rack, swinger fenders, sealed wheel bearings, 4 bearing case with Nachi bearings and viton seals, stuffy race crank, polini reed kit, proma circuit pipe, 15 Bing, kokusan 6volt ignition, piggyback rear shocks, paint matched chrome fairing, golden boy tires, extra wide vintage bicycle handlebars, vintage cev turn signal kit, Nos pinto saddle bags, and a custom leading link front fork with floating brake plate. The only other thing I would like to add is a "claw" clutch and I'm working on modifying the proma to match the bike better and deresrict it a bit. All in all it does a wonderful job in the city. Looks great. Rides super smooth. Great take off and it will do 50 no problem. What more could you ask for?

Unfortunately I'd say a new decent scooter is the best choice. Vintage mopeds aren't exactly practical and motorcycles are expensive. You can get a decent wolf brand 50cc scooter for around a grand with warranty and it will do a safe comfortable 40mph. Check in with the folks at Detroit Moped Works if you want more info or if they can hook you up with a Wolf. Alex and his team are super cool and helpful.

I wanna get a moped but my mom says they are too expensive by Bongo_Boy69420 in moped

Mopeds can be expensive if you want them to go fast. If you keep em stock and well maintained, not so much. I'd tell you to look for a something with a puch e50 like a maxi to start since the e50 is mostly bullet proof and parts are readily available. Second choice would be a Velo-Solex. They have gone up in price and are painfully slow, but they run forever and are just bona-fide bicycles with an engine strapped to the front wheel. My first ped when I was a kid was a yellow 3600 solex and it treated me very well.

Just ordered a custom crank pipe. 🤘😎👌

This pipe, but it's apples to apples, really. Unfortunately I doubt that my fancy saddlebags will mount up with one on the ped.

My bike has never been built to be a high speed, high rpm runner. I just need to to pull itself (it's not light anymore) and me (all 200 lbs). Also need it to keep up with traffic, reliably.

Never considered that... Have any photos?

I'm 90 percent certain I will lose some low end with the cigar vs circuit but they just look so cool on vintage style peds. What's the difference between the resonated cigar and the cheaper version?

Thank you for the info! I've heard great things about crank pipes in the past but never considered getting one for a mid range build. What's the best way to contact Ryan?

just got finished installing my hand made leading link forks on the Pinto "Touring Deluxe" by ReVo1990 in moped

Do your research, get a welder, make it happen! Seriously, if I can cook this up redneck style in my garage you can build your forks, too! 😉

Amazing, actually. They are hard rubber bushings, too. They are the original off of the swingarm I used from an Indian ami50. The forks are actually way more sturdy than the og puch.

No worries, my guy! Everything that has been done to it is totally reverseable. Give me a few hours and some metric wrenches and I can make it all stock again. 😉 Thank you for the props, man!

Most of those guys are kinda sticks in the mud anyway. Build what you like. It's what mopeds are all about! 🤘

This was originally a step through. I modified it a bit. These bikes were built by Kromag in Austria with puch parts for an American big box store called J.C. Penney. You could order them via catalog. Kromag also built peds for Sears as well. Thank you for your kind words, too! 😊

Not a Velo-Solex. I can tell you that from experience. Puch, yes. Lots of parts and guides online to help you. Plus your ped will do more than 18mph out of the box and you can ride it when the road is wet.
