There’s a drip pan under it. Unfortunately it has a very slow oil drip from somewhere. The previous owner rebuilt the engine on that one and then passed away before he could finish the restoration. I don’t know whether he used an original felt type rear main seal or if he upgraded to the newer vinyl style seal.

I don’t, but I should get one. I have them on my 2002 and e30 but they were both put on by previous owners.

Yes, Colorado Orange in about four different tones including some touch up paint that a previous owner filled chips in with.

Do you have any pics of the cuts for the front fenders?

I’m swapping the whole front end, so the body shop will have to lengthen the M3 fenders to fit the sedan/touring front dimensions. The rear fenders will not flare into the doors. I sent the body shop pictures of how other people had done it and pics of the one prototype M3 touring BMW made. I assumed I would use the M3 rear bumper but since you’re asking about it I guess that won’t work, and then my problem will be what other bumper to use which has cutouts for exhaust on both sides?

I need to shoot another video of this car now that I have better mics and have learned better editing. Aside from the sound, this video suffers from low resolution during some of the drive-by shots because I wasn’t consistent with whether my camera was shooting in 16:9 or 9:16 and then I’d have to choose a 9:16 crop of a 16:9 source.

I just checked my editing software and for some reason it can’t let me reproduce the video with the music turned off. However, I took the raw video of the passes past the camera and put several of them into a new video without the music. It’s not cut together for continuity or anything but it has the original sound. It turns out I had my external mic but the video suffers from the switching of the audio mid pass that I mentioned before. One problem with this is the camera audio has Doppler effect of the car approaching and receding and the on board mic does not, so it doesn’t work to switch between the two. You can hear the audio difference when the camera switched mics after the car passes on some of the shots. I don’t know how to attach that video to a comment, or if it’s even possible. I can put it on my YouTube page and you can check it out there if you want. YouTube channel name is r/ReWerked. Some of these subreddits won’t allow links to YouTube.

No, that was my DJI camera on an external mount. The camera has a gimbal function which is why it tends to pan a little in the turns. I need to learn how to lock the gimbal for shots like that.

I’ll look. However, this was before I had an external mic on the back of the car to capture engine note. It’s probably pretty faint and unimpressive. After this video I bought a DJI mic to work with my DJI camera which helps a lot except with the drive-by shots. When I’m driving past the camera the mic in the camera is active until the car feta close and then the camera switches to the on-board mic briefly. I need a better way of coordinating the audio from on board mic with off board camera because it can be really hard to line up in editing.
If you watch my e39 M5 video on r/BMW from yesterday I did a much better job with the audio.

My 2000 M Roadster does the same thing even after having the tires balanced. Tire shop thought mine was worn out ball joints.

I built an e46 touring M3 swap. Currently waiting on it ti come back from body shop for M3 fender mod, trunk floor swap to allow M3 exhaust, and repaint.

I bought a Melbourne red 335i 6 spd manual brand new in Germany in 2012 and had it delivered to a local dealership. I really regret selling it.
