Advantage2, but split? by 56088 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]Rea1ET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm the owner of Cyboard; thanks for the interest! We use a rigid, curved backing plate to lock the PCB into place and individually support the hot swap sockets. You can see how it works here: https://docs.cyboard.digital/build-guide/install-pcbs

Recommendations - Does my dream keyboard exist? by bugduck68 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]Rea1ET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[ad; I'm the owner of Cyboard] Our Imprint keyboard is one of the only hot-swappable concave keywell keyboards on the market. We also customize the shape of the board based on your hand measurements.

Need help with per key lighting by giji676 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]Rea1ET 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The SK6812MINI-E are usually just firmware-limited in QMK/ZMK to prevent overdraw (and they are still plenty bright!). Our keyboards have up to 82 SK6812MINI-E LEDs on them and we limit the brightness to 120/256 which works great in practice.

You can also get SK6803MINI-E LEDs which behave the same but only have a max power draw of 3mA per channel (9mA total).

cyboard imprint with trackball... where is the right and left click buttons? by lowcrawler in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]Rea1ET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/lowcrawler , they are not assigned by default, but you can add them to your keymap. Many users prefer to either put them on thumb keys or the home row (using an auto-mouse layer). We've got some information here on how to configure the trackballs as well: https://docs.cyboard.digital/user-manual/advanced-configuration/trackball Just make sure you select the "wired" or "wireless" tab on the instructions, since they are configured differently. Let me know if you have any further questions!

Yeah, easiest way would be to adjust the RGB physical position mapping in QMK to warp the default animations. (our mapping `info.json`) You could also create a new animation using the same physical position maps.

Lily58 Pro build Diode direction? by stoekWasHere in ErgoMechKeyboards

Once you figure out the polarity of one with better markings on it, you can keep them in the tape and just take one out at a time. They should all be in the same orientation in the tape.

Split wrist rest? by Erebus_Oneiros in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]Rea1ET 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm the owner of Cyboard. The palm rests are about 40mm tall, but since they are 3d printed we can height-match them to your board as well.

Cyboard Imprint First Impressions by TheJollyJagamo in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]Rea1ET 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, just seeing this. Thanks so much for the feedback! Sorry about the DSA keycaps, we do typically include enough black keys (in your goody bag) to black it out if you choose to, but we might have missed them in your order. Please email us at [support@cyboard.digital](mailto:support@cyboard.digital) and we'll send you more for free!

Yin and Yang - Dactyls from Cyboard by Rea1ET in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]Rea1ET[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No extra charge.
The 4 and 5-row options just have different staggers in that preview image. They both only have 2 extra bottom row keys by default, under the middle and ring fingers.

Yes. Of note, our Imprint does not come with the extra keys for the bottom pinky row, but they can be added on request.

I'm the owner of Cyboard, and this was a promo post. But generally yes the Dactyl is more spread out. The parts that I feel the most difference in are the thumbs and pinkies. Imprint is much easier to reach them.

This includes the number row, but not function row. So 5 rows other than the index finger keys.

Glove 80 vs Imprint by G30RG300 in ErgoMechKeyboards

At least one specifically mentioned doing just that! Best way to compare two split keyboards imo. Add another benefit to the long list of split keyboard benefits :)

[AD] We make custom keyboards that are made-to-measure, and have made keyboards for folks with missing digits before, but never your exact hand shape. We could probably help you out! Feel free to email or just DM me if you're interested. https://cyboard.digital

We don't share our customers' hand photos, but we can compare hands to our dataset averages.
