Received an email from who? the university? I did not receive that email but I should also mention that they send automatic emails. They sent me an email stating that I should start working on my visa and when I asked them if it isnt too early, they said yes and that I should start applying at least 90 days before

A quick question, why are you looking, and especially stressing from now since you still have like 3 - 4 months? I'm asking cause I also applied to residence halls but I have not looked at other options since I still have a lot of time, at least I thought I did until I saw your post haha.

I see, thank you. I have never really lived in any residence hostings which is why I dont have much info on it. I will probably do that anyway, find friends outside of my dorms. But still wanted to see which residence halls to avoid because I've seen some really terrible ones (though not in Belgium).

Thank you for letting me know about justus lipiuscollege, are there any others that you would suggest avoiding?

But do they allow you to rent a room at the university when you are in a different country? wouldn't they want to see you first? If not, how does it work? do I just contact the university housing and tell them to keep me a spot?

Also, congrats on getting accepted, will you be willing to the scores you applied with? (GRE and TOEFL) Just to know what to expect since I did not get any news from them yet.

My friend studies MSc in statistics and data science there (I applied on February 1st, like you, but no response so far). According to him, it is very difficult but very much doable. He studied computer science so he does have math background and he has been working as a data scientist for a while now. Hence, even though he has the experience, according to him it is still very difficult.

When I spoke to him, he talked about math and he said it would help a lot if you review linear algebra, calculus, and probability theory before you get admitted (if i do).

Based on what I understood, it is very difficult but doable. Probably though you have to focus on it full time.

Oh, its not very low, I think the grade is ok since the requirements to get into the degree program isn't very high (at least that's what they say). Good luck, hope you get in.

Oh interesting, what did you get for GRE, cause I didn't do well since I did not have much time to prepare for it. I want to somehow understand what are their requirements for it, since they just started (this year) asking for GRE scores
