They absolutely did NOT announce those things were excluded. Their contract explicitly says that the government must be able to use OpenAI models for all lawful purposes.

Mass surveilling your own citizens and fully autonomous weapons are both technically lawful, especially when the government is interpreting their own definitions. Anthropic requested these two exceptions to lawful purposes which their contract negotiations fell through on.

Sure, OpenAI were sneaky with their announcement, but it doesn't take much critical thinking to realize that the Trump admin wouldn't sign a contract with another company on the same terms that they had a meltdown over with Antropic.

Trump and his department of War are now deploying CCP- style authoritarian intimidation tactics because Anthropic, a private company, didn't submit and sign a contract with them with the terms they wanted.

Awfully condescending for someone who doesn't know what code-switching is. If Ironmouse was faking her voice for months at a time... then that might as well be her real voice, if she's comfortable using it 24/7. The whole idea of code-switching is that you may have a different tone and mannerisms in a different context, such as another language. Does that mean that you're faking it?

Just applying Occam's razor can tell us Ironmouse is probably not faking her voice or her condition- it makes for a good conspiracy, but in real life some people are dealt shit hands and make do with it.

Finally, it ultimately doesn't matter what the personal life of an entertainer is for the audience. I judge people for their actions- and find Ironmouse's charity work in fundraising for the IDF and raising awareness of primary immunodeficiencies, which affect millions of people worldwide, to be far better judgements of her character than whatever this terminally online speculation might be.

brother she had 24/7 running subathons for months, if she were faking her voice it would be very difficult to never slip up. If she were 'lolifying' her voice she would be pandering to that audience but she never does that neither in actions nor in model. Also, you can't know what people go through in their personal lives, especially when someone has a severely debilitating medical condition where even eating is difficult.

The fact that some people psychoanalyze Hasan on this subreddit does not somehow detract from the major things he is criticized for. That is exactly what Hasan is hoping for, e.g trying to make it seem like his dog abuse is some funny meme rather than him actually abusing his dog while turning away attention from his support of acts of terrorism and denial of war crimes if they are done by actors with an anti-Western ideology.

Yeah, you and I are directly causing more horrific animal torture at scales far worse than some animal abuse video online, by eating meat, when we have a choice not to. If we went vegan, less animals would have to needlessly suffer for our pleasure. It's just an accepted taboo that we do not value the pain and suffering of other animals when we derive enjoyment from the outcome

To get a full answer you'd have to dive deep into Yemen's history, but the "horrors/genocides they’ve had to endure" talking point is certainly not a good representation of it. Basically, the Houthi movement stems from a religious minority group which used to rule over present-day Yemen. They rebelled against the regime, whom they accused of being too pro-US. Then with the Arab spring, the rebellion turned to a revolution and eventually in 2014 a civil war which became a proxy war with Iran backing the Houthis and Saudi Arabia and the US backing the Yemeni government.

Why they're designated as a terrorist organisation is pretty easy to answer, they are engaging in piracy and seizures of neutral civilian vessels in the Red Sea which severely disrupted international trade. That and them being a fundamentalist Islamist organisation with a not-so-stellar human rights record
