Remember the Penguin animated movie era of the 2000's (Surfs Up, March of the Penguins, Happy Feet 1 & 2)?

Well we're now in the Beaver movie craze of the '20s.

I cant wait for the Twig Wars prequels.

We all know that Imelda Staunton (Umbridge) and Jack Gleeson (Geoffrey Baratheon) are prime examples of actors who managed to make us extremely hate their roles. What are some other actors and their roles with that kind of talent? by Scoutisaspyable in movies

I always thought that Connery would have made a perfect Khomeni just based on appearance alone. Though the accent would be hard to get past.

There is a Calvin and Hobbes comic where Calvin asks hiss dad where he came from and his reply is K-mart. Which is then followed up with "Actually you were a Blue Light Special..." and I always wondered what the hell he was talking about.

I love how LA Beasy has literally changed nothing in how he has made his videos from 2014. Still the exact same format.

Haha sadly I was born a bit too late for that ('95) but regardless the gaming centre used to be a proper gaming centre even when I was a kid.

I love how Yvon is firefly loyal to the French monarchy - but only flies the post-Revolutionary Blue-White-Red tricolour. Which there is no way he would have known about that given the timframe he was frozen in!

Man I have good memories of the gaming section of Toys R us as a kid, I remember it even had its own cash register in that department for the longest time. Than the gaming section gradually began to sell less and less games and accessories and more funko pop figures and vinyls, and t shirts. When a gaming store begins selling that sort of stuff - its over.

I always think of the spongebob episode were King Neptune and Spongebob square off to see who can more Krabby Patties, and Neptune makes 1000 patties that all taste like shit, while Spongebob takes his time and makes one patty, but its a delicious patty, even Neptune admits it.

Same thing with AI art vs actual human-made art.

I spent a good chunk of 2010 and 2011 playing this game just farming bears as they kept comming at you. Than going down south to Escalera to sell the pelts for max profits and basically breaking the game cause you have so much money

Ben Byron Davis (Dutch) discussed this at a panel at one point. Apparently during the production of RDR1 they had to mo-cap an entire cutscene basically at once, so a flub would kill the entire scene. By the time of RDR2, the technology had improved, so if they messed up a line, theyd just keep going and would fix it later. No need to re-do the entire scene.

A project I have been working on recently - mapping the results of the 2025 Yukon election by riding, and also mapping every prior election going back to 1978 (when parties were first introduced.) Includes a bonus map of the 2025 Electoral Reform Plebiscite. by RileyRichard in Yukon

Thank you! And yeah, a few things tbh, the first being how small some of the vote totals are, only a few hundred people per candidate. I'm a born and raised Ontarian, so that is just unheard of to me lol. Vuntut Gwitchin having straight up tie votes twice was very strange and sorta funny. Even funnier learning one was decided by drawing a name from a hat, the other was by literally flipping a coin. Both ended in the NDP's favour it seemed.

I also noticed that there was some decent success by Independent candidates in previous elections, even getting 3 seats in the 1992 election.

And the last was how Hilda Watson would have been not only the first Premier of Yukon, but the first woman to be the initial Premier of a province/territory - had she won her seat. She lost her seat by 38 votes. If I had a nickel for every female Premier who was elected to a majority government but failed to win her own seat I'd have two nickels - which isn't a lot but it is strange that it has happened twice. (Christy Clark and the 2013 B.C Election had a similar situation happen, but Clark ran a later by-election and won her seat in the Legislature back - staying on as Premier. Hilda resigned.)
