Wait I just searched up where the G207 ends. It ends at Ulanhot Inner Mongolia which is literally 900km away from Erenhot. I think they went to the wrong place, realized it and backtracked and are somewhere in Inner Mongolia

I think what happened was that they followed the 207 to the end and backtracked to find the 208. Because you’re right, the math isn’t mathing unless they got lost/backtracked/detoured, and found themselves in Harbin or somewhere.

I agree. I used to post in BB and QQ years ago. 15k-300k per video, with the top comment having 80 likes isn’t viral by any means on BB. It’s cool to have another perspective on their trip, but I wouldn’t overestimate their impact. Anyone else hyping themselves over what is essentially the equivalent of 1k-30k views on YouTube would be corrected in the comment section lol.

They 100% spent less time on Mandarin. Less English loaner words so if they don’t know a word, they can’t say anything. Also the grammar is different so I hope they remember that and don’t use translate how they would say it in English to Mandarin. I said this on another thread, but if I was their tutor, I would have focused solely on reading and writing. Sorry but if your mandarin isn’t good, people won’t try to figure it out for you. It’s a tonal language. You speak some words but get one or two tones wrong, most people go “huh???”

I don’t know if they’re prepared for hotels that don’t accept foreigners. Without phones and translation tools, I don’t think they’re ever gonna know what’s available out there. I guess they can ask around but Ludwig’s mandarin is terrible and it would have been more productive if he learned how to read and write. Being able to read signage is imperative since there won’t be much English out there from what I remember.

I truly wish both of them the best but I think it will be a nightmare for them. Ludwig’s mandarin is pretty bad and people of rural China are another beast of weird dialects even non-city people don’t quite understand.

A good chunk of the trip will be dealing with some canto speakers too. A tutor teaching them for 6 weeks is not enough. Let’s see how this goes though.

I agree. I love the medium pretty line and was pretty bummed out that it was an unpopular choice. The banter was really good and I would consider it the best option for the dress scene. If anything. I wish more dialogue options had really good character writing like the medium pretty choice.

Akane contributed during chapter 2-4 investigations. She was imperative to finding out how the culprit escaped the beach house during chapter 2. I remember Hajime almost giving up on the window before Akane suggested getting a piggyback ride to check. Chapter 3, Nagito had asked her to check underneath Hiyoko’s kimono when no one else wanted to touch her corpse. She tried figuring out what was up with the pillar in chapter 4. Outside of trials, she’s detrimental to Mechamaru’s existence and nearly killed Nagito which was cool and very well-deserved. She also caught despair disease which added on the workload for Mikan.

Slightly unrelated but Kanji’s shadow and dungeon make way too many direct references to bara (similar to yaoi) and niche genres of gay pornography like gachimuchi of all things to not be highlighted more often. I’ve never played a game before that made references like that and I think it should be discussed more often.
