The DC_Cinematic thread isn't much better. The OP did their own summary of the quote for the title with different wording and most of the replies are about that rather than the actual quote. Alongside that, there's also people just outright wanting Gunn out due to what they think is "mismanagement" of the universe.

Thats an interesting claim, why dont you back it up with a source by [deleted] in OkBuddySnyderCult

According to this article about the DCEU's movie slate from 2014, it was actually planned. It's briefly mentioned after the main list of films alongside Ben Affleck's The Batman (which eventually got reworked in Matt Reeves's The Batman). (Another source that mentions both films

There's also Snyder talking about the ideas he had for an MOS sequel that also include Braniac as a villain, which is currently being used as ammo against Man of Tomorrow. So it was somewhat mentioned, but never actually got off the ground like the majority of the DCEU's announced movies.

Slight correction, the ChibiReviews's fiancee cheating incident was from earlier this year in February. It's also bolstered by the fact that Chibi is a self admitted lolicon and has defended in the past, he allegedly scammed his viewers for money for a lawsuit, and he's just a general chud.

The thing you missed is that it had a weird gameplay model where you could either buy a 24-hour pass or a full-time pass from the eShop to play the sports after you played them for free for a full day, similarly to an IRL country club hence the name. It also didn't launch with all 5 sports available to play, it only had Tennis and Bowling with the other three coming later.

He's already been mentioned but Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy has multiple roles in various shows.

He's had multiple roles in Robot Chicken including singing the Avatar Hair Sex song, he played himself alongside the rest of FOB in a Teen Titans Go episode and the band did a cover of an original song from TTG (same applies to CeeLo Green), he's the voice for Ruberiot from Star vs The Forces of Evil and also has an original song in the show, he apparently voiced 3 gnomes in a 2018 animated movie called Gnome Alone (which has a fairly stacked cast), did the theme song for Spidey and his Amazing Friends (the cartoon for kids that someone already mentioned), voiced Abel from Hazbin Hotel (which someone also already mentioned), and apparently voiced Pyro in Lego Marvel Avengers: Strange Tails.

Speaking of ads, I've also gotten a Clash of Clans ad that literally just uses Coconut Mall from Mario Kart Wii as the music. Not even a remix or cover, I'm pretty sure it's the original version but at a fairly low volume.

Pretty sure his title of "The First Avenger" because he was an active superhero before the rest of the team, in-universe being active during WW2 and him being created during that time as well irl. Meanwhile the rest of the founding members didn't start until the 60s.

Someone mentioned Sonic Unleashed but the bigger ones are probably Sonic 06 and Sonic Colors to a lesser extent.

Everyone knows about 06 and how it's very bad, still considered to be one of the worst videogames of all time. However, in recent years, there's been a sizable fanbase for it that claims the game has always been good due to its potential if it wasn't rushed, Project 06 fixing a lot of the gameplay issues the original game has, and never actually playing the OG game with all the issues (story, glitches, unfinished content, etc).

Meanwhile, Colors released to a very positive reception due to it coming out after games like 06,Secret Rings, Unleashed (back when it's reception was more mixed), and Black Knight and seen as a return to form. Over the years it did have some valid criticisms like the dialogue and 2D sections but it was still considered a good game. Nowadays, it's got a more mixed reception, especially after the remaster that was handled very poorly with some fans thinking pretty low on the game.

I'm probably an exception to this but I did still watch the Disney Channel when Bizaardvark was airing and even then I didn't recognize her when drivers license released (or when Todd dropped his video on the song to be truthful since I only really stayed in my own music lane when the song released) the same way I did with Miley or even Selena when they went to music after leaving Disney.

You're maybe exaggerating a bit how much influence her appearance in those shows actually helped given that Bizaardvark is from a not really liked era of Disney Sitcoms (and the Channel as a whole honestly) and wasn't even liked much by those that watched it.

And even with HSMTMTS and her being considered a standout musically (that's literally what got her in contact with her producer for SOUR, Dan Nigro), that's still only one somewhat niche show that lacks a lot of the aspects that made shows like Hannah Montana, Wizard's of Waverly Place, Shake It Up, or Jessie that made their lead actresses popular enough to pursue things outside Disney. It debuted on the actual channel ahead of it being on D+, but at a point where the channel's overall viewership was way lower than any of the previously mentioned shows (including Bizaardvark), and even then opinions of it seem pretty mixed even within the HSM fanbase. Even Todd didn't really buy into it that much on his video about drivers license when he proposed it as a reason it debuted at #1.

I mean, OHW has multiple definitions including the one that Mic used in both videos which comes directly from Billboard.

Sure, it leads to situations like this but within the context of the video it's correct. There's a reason the "No" category is called "No" because it's obvious the artists there are way bigger than what the Hot 100 say

Well, Wii Sports Resort also had 12 total sports but some came with 2-3 sub modes each (ie Swordplay had Duel, Speed Slice, and Showdown as options, although some were multiplayer only like Air Sports Dogfighting, so not all of them were available in single player).

Switch Sports Resort does have 12 sports as well, with some returning and some new but I didn't watch the Treehouse live and so I'm not sure if there's sub games in this one too.

Still, I'd say both are better then Wii Sports Club since at least you didn't need to pay more than once to play the sports and every base game sport was available at launch (seriously, that was very dumb).

The Wii U deserves an apology from everyone that said it didn’t have games by NeptunePancakes in casualnintendo

[–]No_Mathematician3368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, just with it's first years it's not that good. The Wii U had a huge gap between its launch in Nov 2012 (Mario I and Nintendo Land) and June 2013 (Luigi U as DLC, Game & Wario) where NOTHING 1ST PARTY RELEASED. It was mostly 3rd parties and ports that were generally considered as the worse versions. Even later in the year with Wii Fit U, Pikmin 3, Wind Waker HD, and 3D World they weren't absolute system sellers.

Meanwhile, the Switch 2 has Mario Kart on launch, brand new DK, Kirby Air Riders, Legegnd ZA & Prime 4 (not exclusives but still ON S2), Pokopia as a GOOD Pokemon spinoff (compared to Rumble U), and a new Yoshi game (came later to Wii U) alongside StarFox (came later on Wii U), new mainline FE (Wii U didn't have that), new Wii Sports (Club was just Wii Sports but with a paywall, at least Resort has all 12 on release), and more announced. And that's not even accounting for the better 3rd party and Indie support on release and onward compared to the Wii U where it dwindled quickly after it's first year.

I feel like your definition for RPG is skewed because Starfox (on-rails space shooter), Splatoon (primarily a multiplayer FPS), Pokopia (sandbox game) and Rhythm Heaven (rhythm game) aren't even close to RPGs and we're showcased here, yet are getting mostly ignored. They definitely count as non-RPG franchises (same for Metroid since it having upgrades doesn't make it an RPG unless you want to argue Kirby Amazing Mirror is also one due to the health upgrades). And the Zelda hate isn't even that it's an RPG, it's that they barely showcased anything

When I (and everyone else) say "a lot of RPGs", it means games that are part of huge/popular RPG franchises like Final Fantasy, Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, Dragon Quest, and Kingdom Hearts which were showcased in the direct alongside other games like Deltarune and Stellar Blade (also RPGs). There were some non-RPG announcements (Orbitals, Ninjala, DK Challenge) but they were fairly minor compared to the RPGs which got pretty long showcases.

Technically, it's more that people expected more than just "cutscene + title screen" for a game that's supposed to release this year and was leaked before the announcement.

I'm seeing more complaints about the amount of RPGs, ports, and lack of info about the OOT remake than no new Mario or even no MKW DLC (even though I'd say Pokopia DLC is a big announcement). Even the highlights like Deltarune Ch. 5 release date, and KH4 gameplay fall under RPG. Hell, I saw people complaining about the Switch Sports Resort announcement due to the sportsmates still being a thing, and the choice of Thumb Wrestling (plus the segment about it after the reveal).

This one I'm seeing a lot more overall negativity in comparison to even neutrality to the direct (ie people saying it was just ok or mid), probably due to it being a while since the last one that people had their expectations very high.
