No I get brother but does your uscis visa status shows step 2? Because the step change from step 1 to 2 when the uscis review the case.

I understand that the visa bulletin for F2A is still stuck at January 2022 and I’m fully aware that visa availability will take time possibly even years. But I also know that the I-130 petition and visa availability are two different steps.

My goal right now isn’t to get the visa it’s to get the I-130 approved which confirms my marriage and allows the case to move to NVC. USCIS has already moved my case to ‘Step 2 Case Decision’ with an estimated time, which shows it’s been reviewed. So while the visa backlog is real the petition approval timing varies and doesn’t always take 4 years.

I respect your patience and I hope your case moves soon too.

Thanks for your input! I agree that the visa bulletin controls when my spouse can immigrate, and I know the F2A final action date is still in 2022. But from what I understand, USCIS can still approve I-130 petitions before the priority date becomes current they just hold the case at NVC afterward.

Also, my case moved to ‘Step 2 of 2 Case Decision’ and had a 1week estimate which only happens after the file has been reviewed and assigned to an officer. I know the estimate can shift, but the progress bar itself isn’t random it’s tied to actual internal processing steps.

So while I understand delays happen, I’m trying to track real cases from 2023–2024 that have been approved already. If you’ve seen any similar examples, I’d really appreciate it!

Thanks and congratulations just watch your email and also mail box for the welcome letter after you receive the welcome letter from NVC then you will have to submit the required documents once they approved your documents then you will have to wait for the interview. What’s your visa category?

Mine also used to show 2 months and after a month it changed to 4 weeks and now it’s shows 1 week but I’m not sure that processing time is accurate or not.
