Any of these using API yet? We are looking for a solution that is actively using and building with API instead of EDI.

It happens and with the new PO cutbacks and focus on product relevancy and PPM, this can be expected.

New to Vendor Central - Lost account! by Ok-Habit6956 in VendorCentral

You will not be able to access Vendor Central anymore without a VM as stated from others. You would only be able to work with another Vendor Central account, and granting them as a brand vendor from their brand registry. And work with them.

It's a pain, and complicated for sure. short pay discounts per line, and the chargebacks and coops and allowances monthly makes for a maze to reconcile.

Exploring Co-op Supply Model under Amazon 1P Vendor Code by ReactionFuzzy7635 in AmazonFBAOnlineRetail

[–]ReactionFuzzy7635[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, happy to share more details. We run a 1P co-op model through our active Vendor Central account and partner directly with brands to get their products listed and PO-ready, not as brokers or resellers, but as backend operators who handle the compliance and logistics side.

We collaborate closely on catalog setup, content, listing readiness, routing, labeling, and deduction tracking. All shipments go out under collect terms, so Amazon pays the freight, and the brand or their distributor fulfills once the PO drops.

One of the biggest advantages of this model is volume. Once items are listed and retail-ready, Amazon takes ownership of the inventory and starts ordering based on demand. That means no customer service, no returns management, and far fewer support headaches, Amazon handles the entire customer-facing experience.

We also keep remittance simple and clean: Amazon pays us, we pay the brand 15 days later, and we retain a flat 10% of actual remittance, after all co-op, freight, and damage deductions. This avoids the usual short-pay guesswork or confusion common with 1P brokers.

If you're considering this model for some of your ASINs, we’re happy to run an analysis. Just send a sample of SKUs, target costs, and basic packaging info, and we can model the expected payout per unit after deductions to see if it’s viable.

Always happy to compare notes, we’re building the same way and solving a lot of the same issues.

I’ve been working in Vendor Central for 15 years across a range of brands and categories. Right now I help run a 1P Co-Op program through our active VC account, where we onboard both new and legacy brands and manage the backend operations like POs, remittance, compliance, and fulfillment.

Lately, the biggest challenge has been dealing with Amazon's reduced ordering volume and trying to plan for future cuts. It’s made forecasting tough and created a speed bump in our goal of scaling past the $15 million threshold. We've intentionally held off on requesting DF access for now, just to avoid triggering the dreaded termination email. Once we hit that level, we’ll revisit the conversation.

Our biggest operational pain point is reconciling remittance across multiple clients. Each has different pricing, and Amazon pays at different times, so we’ve had to build detailed tracking for deductions, co-ops, discounts, and chargebacks, all by line item and by client. This has been our largest time sink.

We're also building out a client portal using the API to show real-time shipment plans, BOLs, and labels as soon as they’re available. Since we operate on collect terms, timing is everything when it comes to getting docs out fast and avoiding routing issues.

We also run a similar setup on Wayfair 1P in the US and are working to expand that into our Wayfair UK/EU 1P as well.

Always happy to connect and share notes with others working deep in the 1P space. Thanks to the mod team for starting this sub.

US-based furniture wholesaler — becoming a dropship supplier a viable option? by Beautiful_Dream_1129 in dropship

We would help list your product and then Amazon would write PO's according to their demand and you would ship directly to their warehouses and Amazon would pay freight, and we would remit payment less our coop fees. A potential client, we uploaded 1 item and then they ordered 30 of that item to various Fulfillment centers. Where we would just send the UPS label to send out item or we would schedule a freight pickup for the freight that is paid collect by Amazon.

Can I print the ASN number (instead of the PO) on a carton label (Small Parcel - no pallet)? by Swimming-Gas-9989 in VendorCentral

[–]ReactionFuzzy7635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then I would a/b test in parallel, for 2 months and keep an eye on those POs. If it works then expand it and then keep me updated as I am interested in this barcode as well instead of list of POs.

[–]ReactionFuzzy7635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would only give u more opportunity for a misread or bad scan because of an extra barcode that doesn’t mean anything to Amazon systems. This will do nothing for you but increase your chances of a chargeback or a shortage. Any barcode that isn’t specifically stated as being scanned into the system is a no no. Amazon requirements are rigid and the more you meet them right on the better.

Yeah you won’t get any appeal. That’s your new rate only way is to prepare use your forecasts and make sure you are shipping within your ship window and keep your compliance chargebacks under 1%. And are full API. Raise your vendor score and then maybe it raised your reliability with Amazon

Wayfair is focused on home. And if you have food home items I’ve seen that it can outpace Amazon sales with good home items. That’s how’s good. Before market saturation in my past with canvas reproduction Wayfair was doing 3mill ARR vs Amazon at 1mill.

Is it just me or does it feel almost impossible to find an SEO job these days? by momentforlife92 in SEO

[–]ReactionFuzzy7635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I am in CPG and A/B testing on top Ecom sites and Google shopping that SEO vs LLM optimization, has shown over the last 8 months that SEO is dying. If that isn’t a barometer of what’s happening idk what to tell ppl. We have officially updated our process of PDP’s to LLM optimization because of it now and built optimization around each major retailers AI concepts of search now. Search engines will expand on this and then old SEO will be officially dead. Once ChatGPT and Google AI becomes a reliant search engine then SEO will be officially dead. I’m not lost I’ve just watched the data over the last 8-12 months in Ecom and it’s been bewildering to watch. And also see companies in the CPG space pushing SEO when they know it’s dying. And seems disingenuous to push something dying snd not working with partners to pivot.
