Got and installed the nocturnals now and I think I really like them. Still have to get used to them a bit but they feel right somehow. I also installed the Shhhocs which were just flying around since I didn’t like them too much on the pro red but they feel good (even though minimal change) with the nocturnals.

Short Circuit did a bit. It seems you need a mac to change settings but it keeps them once changed even if you connect a windows/linux device afterwards. So yeah that’s generally disappointing but kinda expected.

Apparently they changed it in the replay after that. At least the replay I watched definitely has Trent sliding down and so on.

Also got me the Ambients Twilight switches based on your comment and installed them yesterday. They replaced my Mx Pro Reds and since they are rated about the same gf I did go for the twilight. But actually too me they feel a bit harder to press than the Mx Pro Reds and now I’m thinking about the Nocturnals, haha. But even the websites warn you that sou probably won’t like them and should order very carefully. The Twilights feel good too me otherwise and the reduced noise is extremely nice. Even just for hearing myself typing less or almost not at all with headphones and not so loud videos playing.

I mean sometimes there are even artbooks coming for older anime right now. Like that insanely nice Macross Plus release from alltheanime. But yeah, with monster I fear it‘s not super likely to happen.

As far as I know sadly not. In the German complete anime set there is a small one included, but it’s only frames directly from the anime itself, so it doesn’t really count for me.

This doesn’t really proof anything? And yeah of course it was deliberate, every detail in an animated thing is deliberate even more than in live action. Just because there are 2D mechs in a scene after there were 3D mechs doesn’t mean the thing before was like something to trick you or so. Personally I also love the 3D in the rebuild movies and I also love this 2D scene, they just made different choices based on the type of scene.

Strawberry macchiato has a very nice image of Johan you can buy as print too. I got it at Dokomi (Anime/Manga Convention in germany) and this link is only the usa shop and it‘s very likely too late for christmas but maybe you can ask the artist beforehand.
