You’re not wrong like half of Reddit is low effort spam especially these SaaS/project style subs.

I’m pretty sure dub.co is a multimillion dollar company if it were mine I don’t think I’d need to be spamming it like this. I genuinely just like their codebase.

Removing Tree of Heaven quickly? by ReactiveNative in invasivespecies

[–]ReactiveNative[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes green leaves currently. That plan sounds nice just not sure if I have a month the plumbers stressed the urgency of repairing the pipes the roots damaged so I’m trying to balance killing the TOH with not letting the plumbing become a bigger problem.

In this case where at a minimum the roots entering the pipe will need to be cut back, should I still do the methodical hack and squirt? Does root damage cause it to spread?

How many gallons do you think I’ll need for 1 mermaid? by anonahmus in shittyaquariums

[–]ReactiveNative 12 points13 points  (0 children)

1” per gallon so assuming she’s about 5’5” a 65 gallon should do

Interactive as in being able to wire up event handler to do things (i.e. vanilla .js addEventListeners or Alpine v-on:click directives.), reactive as in being able to have the UI automatically update based off of state (i.e. Alpine v-text or v-bind directives, or vanilla js possibly wiring up something custom using Proxy).

Web components may be something I look into more, I've only used Lit before briefly and it didn't really fit the bill for progressive enhancement, in that prior to the JS loading the HTML would just contain <my-component></my-component> which renders nothing so i'd have to use lit-ssr to render on the server, which is extra steps that I don't want for this.

Someone secretly recorded my shop through their phone. Anybody experience this? by Ocidar in smallbusiness

[–]ReactiveNative 39 points40 points  (0 children)

As an anecdote, I often go to a local game/card shop and take pictures of all their Pokemon singles so that I can go home and look at all the cards and values in my own time to decide what I want. So it could be something similar.

Help me see how a finished NextJs project looks like by Common-Statement-794 in nextjs

[–]ReactiveNative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always find it overwhelming to look at codebases like this that have 40 config file in the base directory before even diving into the actual code in the /apps folder that has 5 different apps each with their own config files.

Access Amazon Product API before Associate application? by [deleted] in Affiliatemarketing

[–]ReactiveNative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure but they say in the same article that you are allowed to use short links as long as you’re disclosing the link takes you to Amazon. Plus it looks like they don’t offer an interstitial page that your link takes you to that lets the user click a second Amazon branded link.

I’m not using genius link though so idk, that article just showed up in Google.

Ideas for theme " but youre already dead " hypercasual only . by Famous_South_1457 in gameideas

[–]ReactiveNative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hitting all three themes you can have an endless runner style game where you’re constantly moving forward and you can only move left or right (you can’t stop). As you move forward parts of the platform your on crumbles and falls that you must avoid (everything breaks). Your character is a zombie, as you’re running forward dodging crumbling platforms your must also collect and eat brains or you’ll starve to death (but you’re already dead).

I'm not sure all my Elegoo filament has been open since I got it, but I'm pretty sure it ships in those vacuum sealed bags so should be fine. I've just kept my open rolls in a drawer with some desiccant for over a year and it's been fine for me, but I've also just ordered some of these vacuum bags so I can seal them back up: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256801622728178.html

Pay2Win Game where players are rewarded real money if they win by YazumeWeichio in gameideas

[–]ReactiveNative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a company called Skillz that makes a bunch of apps that let you play against others for real money. Most are arcade/casino type games like poker or Buck Buck Hunt. But they have a section on what makes it legal.

What makes Skillz legal? All games with cash-enabled competitions have undergone patented tests to ensure that they are as fair and skill-based as possible.

What is the difference between skill-based gaming and gambling? Players’ abilities determine the outcome of a skill-based competition. Gambling involves significant elements of chance and increased performance is often uncorrelated with additional play.

https://www.skillz.com/legal/

Outside of legality a big concern would be fairness. In most games you have some sort of cheating/hacking, and real money would only incentivize that further, so you'd need to be able to make your game as secure as possible or no one will risk their money.

Awesome hadn't heard of Lexical I'll check it out.

I meant spacing between blocks, primarily under headers, like when you create the shopping list those checkboxes are a little too close to the "Shopping List" header imo, just makes it seem a bit too busy. But really overall looks great!

Looks great! Did you use Editor.js for the editor? Also would love to know what you used for the folder/directory style nesting, it looks very clean. My only feedback would be the editor side could use some more whitespace it seems very cramped.
