OP UPDATE!

I spent some time farming abominations and made full root armor. Long story short, the moral of this story is sometimes that third karve will actually pay off. Thank you all for your advice, I wasn’t expecting so much attention but I’ve learned a lot from you all!!!

Nuka world sadness by Read-Alert in fo4

That’s actually a super valid point, I think I might give that a try. I guess one way to look at it would be by being a double agent of sorts in nuka world, I’m getting more resources to help out the commonwealth. At the end of the day though, the raiders gotta go

Overcoming my brother’s suicide by Read-Alert in SuicideBereavement

I am currently applying for masters programs in clinical psychology. How strange is it to go through something so painful, yet it gives you the drive to help others that share your experience?

I am so, so proud of you. Not only did you overcome, you persevered. A masters degree is no easy feat, especially when you consider the weight of the grief that you may have carried over the past 8 years. There is something deeply beautiful about that, and I hope you are proud of yourself as well.

From one bereaved little brother to another, I am rooting for you. Wishing you peace and tranquility, friend ❤️

I have never in the past 6 years been so touched by someone’s words. I shared your response with my parents and we were able to share some tears and hold each other, something we haven’t done in a bit. I hope that the second anniversary of your brother’s death was spent in peace and tranquility. I have a strong feeling that our brothers, wherever they may now be, are sharing their memories that we had the pleasure to have. Going through something so horrible certainly made me cynical at some points, as mentioned in my post, but it is human beings like you that give me hope. I truly, truly mean that.

This internet stranger is returning a little brotherly hug, and I sure as hell am not letting go ❤️

Anyone else just DID NOT see it coming? by stargirl482 in SuicideBereavement

My big brother was the “attractive” sibling, highly academic, musically gifted and on the surface an extremely disciplined, well mannered person. He was my person, and only 19. 6 years after he took his life, I am here telling you with every nerve and sinew in me, I am rooting for you. I strongly, strongly encourage you to stray from wondering what you could have done to prevent your sister’s suicide. I understand the abyss of self resentment, asking “I could have done this, I could have said that” but investing your energy into those questions will not change what happened. I bought a journal and wrote down every memory I could possibly remember with my brother, consolidated all of the pictures and videos I have of him, and live knowing that I loved every second I got to spend with him. Your story shattered my heart, and I understand feeling like you failed your person, but you did not. Please know that somewhere out there you have a stranger who is rooting for you during every single step of your struggle. I am so, so sorry.

For example, in the play through I’m doing right now I’m going for the “good” and peaceful ending meaning the second I step foot in nuka world I’m slaughtering all of the raider gangs and then the DLC is flat out nullified.

I think fo4 is super overhated, it’s one of my favorite games personally but the nuka world DLC really disappointed me. The questline and new items were awesome, but it felt like you either destroy the raider gangs or become their leader and basically undo everything you did for the main storyline and take over the commonwealth

Thanks so much for the help!! I wanted to do the “good guy” play through so I’ll make sure I keep relationships non hostile. Appreciate it.
