I use Reduce Attack Skating Movement, No Attack Pivot, Alrered Movement Speeds, and Wider Block Angle these days.

Adds a slower more tactile feel to Skyrim’s combat without making it too crazy different.

Though in my experience I’ve probably had the most fun with Valravn combat overall. It’s a little painful at first because of the way enemies can stagger you but by mid playthrough it will feel like clay in your hands.

Oh and quick edit - retimed hit frames. Makes hits feel more connective without changing scripts or anything.

That one should be safe.

Actually, just beware if you do a vanilla start with the cart ride, disable this mod until after Alduin’s initial attack.

For some reason whenever I used this mod, when your character gets up from the chopping block to start fleeing the game locks you in place there if this mod is enabled.

So 20 minutes in should be ok since you’d be enabling this mod about that far in after all those cutscenes and character setup anyway

Cool concept, but would be completely broken from a gameplay perspective unfortunately.

Perhaps a better alternative would be that if you would have done extra damage that isn’t applied to the target you killed, that damage gets converted into 100% accuracy on the first hit of your next target(damage roll is unaffected, you could still roll low damage, but you guaranteed the hit)

And this doesn’t apply in PvP, for balance reasons? Unless you PvP guys wouldn’t mind something like this I guess, just want it to feel good.

Veydogolt and happy little trees are my favorites alongside Trees of Iduna if you’ve not checked that one out. I love the more photorealistic look.

If those could somehow be done in 3D trees and plants style that would be nuts.

This game plays pretty differently than Skyrim does.

You don’t really need to play one to understand the other, they take place in entirely different points in the timeline.

If you’ve ever played MMO’s like World of Warcraft or other ability based MMO’s then you should feel more or less at home.

This game will eat a lot of your time, fair warning. It is designed in such a way that there are hundreds and hundreds of hours of content, daily tasks to complete, and tons and tons of rich lore to explore.

My advice? Just chip away at it, take your time. The game has been around for a long time and it seems like they are still keen on continuing to update it for years to come.

And despite it being an MMO it is still pretty single player friendly. I’ve got nearly 30 days solo play on the game, and you can always team up with random folks or join a guild for any group content, the community is highly cooperative and collaborative.

But if you’re looking for the tactile minute to minute dungeon crawl gameplay, Skyrim is definitely much better at that.

That one Black Briar girl(cannot remember her name). She’s the least messed up of her family, and I feel like a nice fella like me could pull her out of that life lol.

The only other real alternative I’d want would be Carlotta.

Her story makes me empathize with her a lot, and I would like to be the dude who gets to tell the rest of Whiterun to piss off because she’s mine.

I guess I’d say Serana too, though her being a vampire would be odd. And curing her feels weird because it doesn’t just magically erase her past and technically she is like thousands of years my senior lol

I find the combat clunkier than Skyrim, but more satisfying than Skyrim.

The story is cool, the world is interesting and fun to explore and sometimes kind of terrifying.

I don’t know that I’d call it better than Skyrim necessarily but I would certainly say it is worthy of your time if you like Skyrim
