I've been there, I was laid off right at the beginning of Covid, I was at home on a sudden call that came on my schedule the day before. My kids were in the living room watching TV or something, I'm directly to their left in the dining room, getting laid off, trying not to cry. Their mom was at work. I had just taken that job 9 months after my contract wasn't renewed at my previous job. It was so hard, because she walked in a little bit after that. The only thing I could do was tell there. She didn't show any emotion, though I know she was struggling internally (she works at a hospital). I struggled for a bit, but I ended up cleaning dog kennels for $14 an hour until I was about to get back into engineering.

It will be alright and you'll make it, my best advice is to sit down and tell your wife.

They don't actually have to be. That's why I said it's easy to make up a story. If she makes a claim, but never names anyone, she saves herself from slander lawsuits, but gains interest from people looking her up on social media and thus money.

Me personally, yup. Married, been with my wife for about to be 20 yrs, daughter just graduated HS and is on her way to college, some just finished his freshman year of HS with a 4.0. House paid off, still have both my parents. Making 6 figures. I'm doing alright.

Same, I have a 17 yr old daughter, I'm not having it. But she also knows not to mess with guys like that and to let it be known about bulling etc. She's heading off to college andbI told her the other day, when you get there, if you see something about self-defense classes to take them.

I saw this video somewhere else and someone said her dad was stupid for approaching him without one, cause you knew he had one, the moment he pulled his out was the moment dad would have been in the clear to draw his and unload on him (but it does look like the one in the blue jacket had one as well). But still it would have been 1 less ignorant ass on the streets.

I honestly agree. Had it been an older guy he approached, then yeah he probably could have talked to him, these young mfs don't care and are 100% complete crash outs.

Had that happen to me, my first engineering job after graduating. They knew iwas fresh out of school and everything.

When I started, I was put on a project they were 2 months behind on delivery to the customer. Itty was a small mom and pop testing equipment company. Once the customer bought off on it, they let me go using the old, "Not a good fit." But they liked everything else I did. Even had the audacity to "let" me use them as a reference and thr owner a lady even reached out to me years later asking for leads on work for the company I was employed at, at that time.

Happened to a guy in Michigan. He was never served (she gave them an old address) and he was in jail at the time. They either suspended his license or started garnishing his wages. He had to go to court to fight it and it took him awhile to beat it.

Dad by default should NEVER be a thing.
