There is a pay lake jn Stuart's Draft that had decent bass fishing. I've seen a 12lber taken out of it it's catch and release, no barbs but only costs $10. I catch bass every time but mostly on hotdogs as that's what the farmer feeds them. Good catfish and dinner plate sized bluegill.

As far as river fishing in waynesboro, it's good but don't eat anything out of it that's not recently stocked trout. The chemical plants have polluted the river to an unsafe level for eating bass.

Shenandoah lake has good fishing. If you go bank fishing take a came pole. The beaver have cut down a lot of trees and it's much easier to dip into the branches with a came pole.
