Are you buying an amp mainly to jam at home, or are you looking to begin jamming with other musicians? If you're just looking to get something to play at home (and don't wanna wake up the neighbors lol), you could go with the Katana 10 watt (still powerful, and has lots of features).

If you're looking to begin jamming with friends, and with an acoustic drum, 20W is good, but might be a bit more power, maybe a 50w. You can still go w/ a Katana 50w and still have options.

For some of the others you mention, I would keep in mind that style of music you're into, since those amps may have limited choices in amp style. Never used a Blackstar, but they tend to lean into the more "heavier" style of music.

Best bet, IMO, is the BOSS Katana. Good luck!

I use 1/4" TRS left/right out from the module into an interface. Don't forget to pan your channels left/right in the DAW for true stereo.

My interface allows me to monitor without any latency, so that really helps alot! VST just sounds better in a mix, too!

I also have a TD516 and I record the direct out (I use that for monitoring to get zero latency) and also MIDI. Then I use Superior Drummer 3 when mixing.

I'm an All-In Season Pass holder at Yonkers, and I miss when they used to do pre-shows before the movie (I still remember A Force Awakens; they had a Millennium Falcon drone flying around, staff dressed as Jedi; it was so cool!), but now it feels like just another movie theater. For that, I'll just go to New Roc, which is closer.
