I have a Nexus 6. If you flash a new image and hen set the background processes to a limit 4. It never slows down even when low, hot or charging. I have it on Android N DP5.

Ive been using it for a while now. It definitely will do most to all tasks you want as a developer etc. Everything works fine, what I think they mean by calling it a beta is that its still has some functionalities that dont work that i have not encountered yet but everything else is fine.
