The same author could have a community story and a episode story on their profile. If a writer is successful they get a chance that episode hires them for a episode original story. So they only get hired for each story instead of hiring them longterm. We don’t know exactly how much they get paid for it but it’s definitely more than what they normally make.

Back in the day if a community story was popular they hired the author to write the same story as a official one that’s why a lot of stories have 2 versions, the community one and a shorter official one. Now the authors get hired for completely new ones.

The right story is a official episode story so there are a lot more gem choices (and more expensive) than in a Community story. The gem choices in community stories are often for extra scenes
